Pics in & around Melbourne of places, spaces and faces we love. Tag #visitmelbourne or #visitvictoria to allow us to repost.

The nights may be getting chillier, but we love the way buildings light up and reflect in the rain. @b.i.conic snapped this great shot of St Kilda amusement park, @lunaparkmelb. If you happen to be here in July, see the park come alive with Christmas in July festivities including later opening hours on Friday and Saturday. Where's your favourite spot for a rainy day view? #visitmelbourne #visitvictoria #melbournetwist
Take a chance - walk through Melbourne without a plan and who knows what laneway you might end up in? Meyers Place might look eerily quiet in this photo, but behind those walls are an abundance of experiences. Try Argentinian meats at local favourite @santelmomelbourne , tasty slices at @pizzapizzapizzamelb , cocktails at @lilyblacks or rooftop views at @looproof. When in @daylesfordmacedonranges , we highly recommend visiting one of the private gardens. This spectacular shot in the @gardensoftievetara reveals a postcard-perfect bridge amidst 7.5 hectares of impressive landscaping. Dawdle by the lake and you may be greeted by the resident geese too. They're only open in autumn and spring, so we suggest heading up there soon. Photo by @reemas_1988 #daylesfordmacedonlife #wandervictoria #visitvictoria
Rake up that sunlight through the layers of rainforest next time you @visitgippsland. Take a trip to Tarra Bulga National Park and listen for kookaburras and rosellas as you wander along the boardwalk, surrounded by towering mountain ash trees and ancient, mossy tree trunks. If you're searching for the perfect snap, make sure to swing by the suspension bridge and Cyathea Falls to enjoy a quiet moment. Photo by @stilliwander #visitgippsland #wandervictoria #visitvictoria
Autumn sunsets and city reflections in the Yarra River make for a perfect stroll when on the way to your next destination. Perhaps you're walking to the sports precinct for an AFL game or a concert at @hisensearena. If you're walking the other direction, perhaps you're heading to a show at the @artscentremelbourne or for a drink along the river in Southbank. You might experience our notorious four seasons along your walk, but we guarantee you'll get a great view. Photo by @chrshll_ #visitmelbourne #melbournetwist
As if stairs weren't already hard to go up! Seems @seehighcountry has become snow country overnight, with @fallscreek residents just one of the towns that woke up to a healthy snowfall this morning. Get your ski and snowboarding gear ready - the season is almost upon us. Photo from @fallscreek #seehighcountry #visitvictoria #wandervictoria
When you plan to visit @daylesfordmacedonranges , don't just make a passing stop by Honour Avenue, a popular road for photographers lined with autumn trees. Dig a little deeper and explore what the adorable towns have to offer. The church on this site's history dates as far back as 1863 but the current standing Mount Macedon Uniting Church was opened in 1984 and now displays a beautiful decoration of autumn leaves. Just beside it, you'll find @mtmacedontp , a popular brunch spot for visitors and locals to ensure you're well-fed before driving up Mount Macedon or embarking on a hike in Macedon Regional Park. Thanks to @tiffanywarnerphotography for the lovely photo. #daylesfordmacedonlife #visitvictoria #wandervictoria
Get lost in the history of @explorebendigo , with its heritage buildings, gardens and galleries. This picture was taken at Charing Cross, an intersection that has become the central hub of the city. Here you'll find the 19th century Alexandra Fountain and a tram stop from the 1890's where you can hop onto a variety of heritage trams. Choose between a classic tram, one with the best blues music or one featuring a story of Bendigo's first people, the Dja Dja Wurrung. It's amazing how different coloured leaves can make a place look so different, right? Even if you've visited Maroondah Reservoir Park before, this scene will surely make you want to @visityarravalley_official again. The leaves are creeping into all corners of the park making it a great view up close as well as from the heights of the dam wall. Go see for yourself - it's perfect for family picnics and dog-friendly too. Photo by @joshdavis23_ #visityarravalley #findyourself #wandervictoria #visitvictoria
The city likes to paint a glorious sky as a reward for early birds. Located on the fringe of the city, @docklandsmelb is an ideal spot to enjoy a quiet moment by the water before kick-starting your day. Instagrammer @jenny.fuji came across this stunning moment from River Esplanade by the Yarra River. Once you're up early, you've got the rest of the day ahead of you, allowing you to continue along the banks towards the city and explore the eclectic mix of venues, from German bier houses to sophisticated wine bars. We're loving the warm tones of Victoria Avenue in @visitballarat at the moment. It not only signals the change of seasons in nature but also our habits, as we yearn for warmth and prefer cosy dinners abundant with good food and wine. It means @plateupballarat has come at a perfect time. Running now until the end of May, this culinary celebration is showcasing the exciting food scene that is bursting in Ballarat. If you attend, make sure to try all the pies they have running in the pie competition too. Photo by @mitchell_harris #visitballarat #wandervictoria #visitvictoria
Soak up the laneway vibes at breakfast, lunch or dinner on Degraves St, just across from Flinders St Station. Look out for street art adorning nooks and crannies and listen out for buskers adding to the bustle of commuters rushing to catch their train. Desserts are also covered here too, from the classic bite size treats at @littlecupcakesmelb to the newly opened branch of @pidapipo_gelateria - because it's never too cold for gelato. Great capture by @canince99 #visitmelbourne #visitvictoria #melbournetwist
