11 action-packed days. 18 incredible people from all over the globe. 1 crazy country. πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦ β€’β€’β€’ My first ever photography tour around Morocco has come to an end and only now I am processing everything that happened over the past two weeks. I am still amazed that an idea @isthisreal & I had when we met in India a year ago actually came to fruition! It just goes to show that anything you put your mind to, you can make happen πŸ™πŸΌ I have a strong feeling this is going to be the first of many group trips to come... So stay tuned for the next announcement πŸŽ‰

Finally made it to the Sahara desert! Well, at least to a beautiful hotel on the edge of the desert 😜🌡Since arriving, this tube of @elizabethardenau Eight Hour Cream has actually been my savior. I’ve been using it for everything from a lipbalm to a moisturiser- it’s been so ideal for keeping my skin hydrated in the dry Moroccan climate. Not a bad little travel companion if you ask me πŸ’πŸΌ #MyEightHour #EAPartner
I don’t think I will EVER get sick of the beautiful colors and textures here in Morocco 😍 #saharasquad17
This is my new friend Bob Marley, he enjoy long walks in the desert, drinking water and basking in the sunshine β˜€οΈπŸŒ΅πŸͺ😍 #saharasquad17 β€’β€’β€’ PS. I’m taking over the @skyscanner for the next few days, go follow along to see more of my Moroccan adventures!
Finding moments of serenity amongst the hustle and bustle of the Medina of FΓ¨s ✨ Fun fact- I took this photo inside a Madrasa, which is an Arabic word used to describe an education facility. Would not complain if I went to school somewhere so aesthetically pleasing πŸ’πŸΌ #saharasquad17
Exploring Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous blue city, was every bit as delightful as I hoped it would be. I think I even found my future home πŸ‘πŸ’™ #saharasquad17
So excited to be in Morocco for my first ever photography tour with @isthisreal ! πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦ Can’t wait to spend the next 12 days exploring this beautiful country with the new crew πŸ™ŒπŸΌ #saharasquad17
Salamanca will always have a part of my heart ❀️ PS. Have you read my latest blog post? I reveal everything about my experience learning Spanish in this beautiful little town ✨ {Link in bio} β€’β€’β€’ ⏱ by @the5th
This year, I decided I need to make a change in my life. There were too many things that I kept saying I wanted to do, but never took any action towards doing. At the start of this year, I wrote a list of things I was going to challenge myself to try in 2017. β€’β€’β€’ One of those things was learning Spanish. In June, I moved to Spain for a month to a beautiful little university town called Salamanca, and did intensive language classes during this time. As someone who has never learnt a language before, going straight into immersive learning (where the teachers don’t speak a world of English) definitely wasn’t easy. Yet, it was easily one of the most rewarding things I’ve done! Although I am far from confident in my Spanish, the experience has equipped me with the basics of the language and motivated me to pursue my dream of one day becoming fluent! πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ πŸ’ƒπŸΌ It has also made me realize that anything is possible when I put my mind to it. β€’β€’β€’ I’ve written a blog post all about my experience learning Spanish- everything from how I ended up in Salamanca, what classes & university life looked like, which resources I found useful along the way and why I took up the challenge of learning a language in the first place. If you’ve always dreamed of learning Spanish, perhaps this post might inspire you to take a step towards making it happen! Link is in my bio ✏️ β€’β€’β€’ I’d love to hear in the comments below, what is one thing that you want to challenge yourself to do in 2018? After all, speaking something out is the first step to making it happen! πŸ’ͺ🏼 β€’β€’β€’ πŸ“Έ by @malloryaharris (one of the awesome people I met whilst in Salamanca!)
What an epic few months it has been here in New Zealand πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ After travelling non-stop and living out of a suitcase for over a year, in August I decide it was time to bite the bullet and finally create a homebase for myself. Settling down for awhile has not only worked wonders for my physical and mental health, it has also helped me appreciate the little things in life. Everything from being able to cook in an actual kitchen, hang up clothes in a wardrobe, sleep in the same bed, have routine, exercise regularly, eat healthily, and most importantly, consistently be surrounded by an amazing community of friends. β€’β€’β€’ People these days often perceive traveling full-time as the ultimate dream or goal. I personally believe that the biggest key to happiness is living a life of balance- learning to appreciate every season of life, the exciting, the mundane, and everything in between πŸ’• Do you agree? β€’β€’β€’ On that note, it is time for me to say goodbye to Auckland for awhile as I head off to the other side of the globe for another adventure ✈️
