Was a tad bit cold on my 10km/6.2mile walk this morning. Especially before the sun popped it's head up. Just had to push on frozen toes and all. The rest week continues. So I headed down to @elitetrainingsportsmed for an active recovery session with @sam_elitetsm. Isolation of the muscles was the key focus in the session. At first I thought it was gonna be a walk in the park. But was I wrong having to connect your mind to isolate a certain muscle in a movement is super hard and I learned my core is super weak. But thats what this transformation is all about learning and improving on my health and getting the best out of my body. WOW.. like for real.. WOW. It’s actually a little bit up setting to see myself like that. For years in my head I was just a little bit over weight, when in reality I was very over weight and very unhealthy. STRETCH MARKS ALERT!! Now that I've got your attention haha.. When you've been abusing your health and body it’s no susprise all that extra stretching of my belly for the past 8 years has left me with some serious stretch marks and look thats ok, it's all part of losing a huge amount of weight. I can remember this day as if it was yesterday. I stood infront of my wife ashamed of who I was as she snapped my before photo (97kg/213lbs), it's written all over my face. But I used this exact image on the right as my motivation through out the @bodybuildingcom @optimumnutrition #250kchallenge2018 . I would look at it constantly everyday, when I struggled to get up for a walk, run, prepare meals for the week. I would stare at it. It would push me to give it my all. I would tell myself "I'm better than the guy in this picture". 12 weeks later I met the guy I should have always been in the after photo (73kg/160lbs). It's never to late to be the best version of yourself. It still blows me away to think that I've been able to transform my life around in such a short period. Today was a recovery day after fairly full on last week of the @bodybuildingcom @optimumnutrition #250kchallenge2018 . It was nice to relax and slip back into the routine of normal life again. Will be back at @elitetrainingsportsmed tomorrow for a solo training session. Still sticking to my meal plan with a few treats here and there to balance things out. Working on a few exciting fitness projects to keep fueling my motivation all wilp be revealed soon. Was weird walking into @elitetrainingsportsmed to do a session without having the pressure of the #250kchallenge looming over the workout. Just pushed myself for the love of it. 12 WEEKS OF BLOODY HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION! I set a goal to give the @bodybuildingcom @optimumnutrition #250KCHALLENGE2018 a fair old crack at the title and to share a video each an everyday of the #250kchallenge with the hope to inspire others to see what's achievable when you put in the HARD WORK. I wasn't an athlete type or gym goer who'd put on a few extra pounds that needed shedding. I'm just an average bloke who's been living an unhealthy life over 100kg/220lbs for the past 8 years. Saying I'll start gym tomorrow or I'll just eat this last burger & fries and I'll start eating good tomorrow. Well 8 years of waiting for tomorrow ended 12 weeks ago. I'm not gonna lie it wasn't easy, it was bloody hard. But it was definitely worth all the hard work and sacrifices. My advice - stop waiting for tomorrow folks, start smashing it TODAY the real training starts NOW 🤜
Day 96 the FINAL DAY of the @bodybuildingcom @optimumnutrition #250kchallenge2018 . Where do I even begin... 12 weeks ago I was weighing 97kg/213lbs, today my weight is a staggering 73kg/160lbs. I've lost over 24kg/52lbs and to say it was easy would be a lie, it was grueling, tough, testing at times, took loads of grit, determination and sacrifices. Would I do anything different, absolutely not. I'm so proud of myself and couldn't be more happier to share my life every day for 96 days with you folks. Your support truly fueled my passion to give it everything I've got to try and win the title of #250kchallenge . I'm still amazed at how fast these 12 weeks have flown by.
