Crowned a team champion, battle ball, hot shot, and obstacle course winners, and 2 campers who earned the Raven Award for being the best all around camper for the week! What a morning on the field today!
Teaching rhythm through music! Almost every athletes second calling is music. We listen to it during trainings, before games, during games, and after games on the ride home! Music stimulates the brain to perform at a certain rhythm, thus why it helps in sports. The best athletes in the world play with pace and rhythm, this morning "the next one up" was working on his! Great Session!!... ..These videos show the progression of verbalizing count to mentally keeping rhythm.

Don’t underestimate the push up as a great upper body strength builder. Here is @tombo_01
is crushing slider push ups with 35lbs on his back!
Just the sliders alone will make push ups harder, but Tom is a BA and needs it even more challenging!
Notice how the weight isn’t across his shoulder blades, but below.. this does 2 things:
1. It allows his shoulder blades to move along his rib cage like they should!
Putting a weight plate across your shoulders limits the movement of the scaps.
2. The weight along his lower back makes the challenge on his core even greater!
Most people who struggle with the push up is because of core strength, not upper body strength!
