The name comes from the Sanskrit word Hanuman. He is a Hindu deity, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, who took the avatar of a monkey. This pose marks the giant leap made by BajrangBali to reach Lanka from India.
This is not a basic yoga pose, and it takes intense practice to perform the split. When you practice this asana initially, you can use a blanket under your ankles and knees to make it more comfortable.
The Benefits Of Monkey Pose
This asana helps to stretch as well as strengthen the muscles in the thighs, groin region, and hamstrings.
This asana also helps to stimulate the reproductive and digestive organs, thereby improving their functioning.
With regular practice, this asana makes the hips extremely flexible.

Die langjährige Yogapraxis und einige wirklich großartige Lehrer haben mir geholfen dieses Bild von mir zu verändern. Alte Glaubenssätze über Bord zu werfen, auf mein Herz zu hören, meinem Weg zu folgen, zu tun was ich liebe. Nicht immer ist er leicht der Weg, aber es lohnt sich. So viele wunderbare Menschen begegnen mir und so viele wertvolle Erfahrungen erlebe ich. Danke an mein Leben, an mich! Möge ich glücklich sein, -Mögest DU glücklich sein🙏💚

I used to do headstands every day. They were a huge part of my practice for a long time and something I just had a lot of fun working on. But for whatever reason I stopped. Don’t know why. I just did.
I do that a lot. I fall in love with something and get really committed to it. And then, just like that, I’m over it. Moving on to something else and completely forgetting whatever it was I was so passionate about, and why it captured my attention in the first place.
Yoga is probably the only area of my life that remains constant for me. But even so, I’ve noticed spaces within my practice where my focus and intention darts around. One day I’m vowing to work on my backbend game, only to find myself the very next day practicing arm balances. Picking a lane and staying there has never been a strength of mine.
But everything is a practice right? So my practice right now is to find a way to come back to the things I’ve drifted away from. To reconnect in some way to whatever it was that brought me to this place today. Today it’ headstands. Tomorrow...no idea.

Un poquito de estiramiento después de subir el cerro, Natarajasana es una postura que ayuda a fortalecer piernas, estirar cuádriceps, abrir caderas y rotar hombros. Si intensificas la extensión de columna, también ayuda a abrir el pecho. Personalmente, las posturas de apertura de cadera muchas veces me ponen freno, tengo un dolor hace tiempo en mi cadera y/o psoas derecho que he buscado tratar con ayuda médica, pero lo que mejor me ha resultado, hasta el momento, ha sido ir escuchando mi cuerpo y emociones, identificar de a poquito las causas, ver qué es lo que me intensifica el dolor que se irradia muchas veces al glúteo, espalda baja y lateral, y buscando aliviar a través de masajes y uso de geles naturales desinflamatorios que hasta el momento han sido un gran alivio 🙏🏻✨Todos los consejos son bienvenidos! Buen sábado 🙌🏻🌈.

Teaching together with my dear friend Peio for our first retreat was so precious! Such a rich, inspiring and humbling experience ☺️ All the sharing and reflecting together on the lessons, the students, the feedback on eachothers classes.. it was challenging but i loved it!!!! 🙏🏼 This week i’m a student in a retreat with two (!) great iyengar teachers, Laura from Argentina and Rosana from São Paulo!
