! People that know me, know I love margaritas! I’m a purest when it comes to margarita ingredients though. Most margaritas you get at restaurants are either made from a syrup/mix or add a LOT of sugar. I prefer to eat my carbs (pasta, pizza, bread) so I make a low carb version by filling a glass with ice and combining tequila, lime juice, a small amount of stevia or other zero calorie sweetener and soda water. You could also add a little orange extract to replace the Cointreau if you like orange flavors in your marg. The fizz from the soda water makes it that much more refreshing. Today however to celebrate this national holiday, I decided to replace some of the lime juice with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and instead of unflavored soda water, I used @perrier
grapefruit bubble water. It was SO good! It’s always fun to put a new spin on your favorite cocktail! Let us know what you think of this super simple, low calorie, low carb margarita option!
