Admiring Half Dome 😍 This viewpoint at Glacier Point is about a 45-50 minute drive up from the Yosemite Valley floor, but as you can see, it’s totally worth it. ✨⛰
What a great weekend! Exceptional company, excellent food, great hike, lots of sun and an extremely extra picnic of champagne and a cheese board on our hike. The bag was heavy but it was so worth haunting a cutting board for a few hours. Thank you for such an amazing visit! Move closer soon!

One of the things I love about this place are the views. 😍 Everywhere you turn there’s another beautiful building or shop or vista.
When we travel we should travel with all 5 senses in order to get even a small understanding of the culture we’re visiting.
Learning and teaching as we travel, we open ourselves up to becoming world citizens.💙💙
Join me next summer as we visit this magical place. Details coming soon!😍

^Tropical^ After the current dry spell it felt almost tropical at Chatsworth on Saturday. You could of been in a rain forest with the humidity and lushness of all the ferns and vines. #chatsworth #waterfall #tropical #rainforest
LIFE ELEVATED. ⛰🧗🏻♀️ Utah’s beauty continues to blow me away. 😻 Wishing I could head back for the #TransplantGames
in Salt Lake City August 2-7th!
As a Registered Dietitian for dialysis patients I’m a BIG advocate for organ donation and this event sounds so dang fun!! Check it out if you’re in the area or can head to the mountains for a great cause. How many of y’all registered to donate? It’s super easy to become one and could potentially save many lives. ❤️ #GiftOfHope #transplantgames

Being forced to take a break from something has a funny way of showing you just how much you care about that thing. I’m midway through a 10-day break from climbing (gotta let the fresh tatt heal!), and I honestly feel like I’m going a little insane without it.
After climbing consistently for about a year, I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on what this sport means to me. And honestly, before this little break I was just kind of like, “yeah, it’s a cool hobby, but it’s not that big of a deal. I’ll never be one of the diehards.” But now, after just 5 days off, I’ve realized that climbing IS a big deal. A huge, huge, huge deal!! And in reality, I’m probably well on my way to becoming one of the “diehards.” I mean, if you can’t stop daydreaming about pinches when you actually kind of hate pinches, you know you’re a little obsessed. And when you find yourself watching every climbing film you can find for free online, stalking every climber you can think of on Instagram, and scrolling through Mountain Project way more than anybody should, you know the love affair is a whole lot deeper than you originally thought.
And so, here’s a picture of me climbing a problem I didn’t really like, in an area I don’t really love, but that I’d give anything to go climb right now! I guess sometimes you really do need to step away from something to see how much it really, truly means to you 💙
As women we hear and see a lot about how our bodies should be. We compare to others but everyone is different. Accept it, love it and take it to the water! #Repost @yogivanween

Insert Cheezy Inspirational Caption Here🐙...Reality, I never really felt comfortable in my own skin. Somewhere down the line someone told me I wasnt pretty enough or smart enough, & young impressionable me...believed them😶 Over time, a regular yoga practice has allowed me to accept my body, appreciate what my body does for me everyday, & just love myself more...It's taught me to love all my bits. Now, if someone tells me..I have a horse face, I have the confidence to tell them exactly where they can take their rude comment. So Yah...Ima post this pic of myself in my bikini..cuz dag nab it...I finally think I look pretty darn good!!🌊🏄 And that's an accomplishment to for me!
HAVE YOU MADE AN LEAPS & BOUNDS LATELY, you'd like to share❕❔

Thru-hiking the Wonderland Trail was one of the most memorable experiences in my life so far, and I'm still digesting it while sitting at my work.
My Suunto went out of battery on the last day so the loop couldn't be completed, but that's the beauty of being in nature and disconnected from the digital world (but why am i searching for portable solar panels?).
Unplugging for the rest of the night, I hope everyone had a beautiful monday full of good energy!!💫 Go check out my first ever IGTV episode about what I learned today in my personal development, k byeee.✌🏼🌻
I made it the mantra of those days; when I paused before yet another series of switchbacks or skidded down knee-jarring slopes, when patches of flesh peeled off my feet along with my socks, when I lay alone and lonely in my tent at night I asked, often out loud: Who is tougher than me?The answer was always the same, and even when I knew absolutely there was no way on this earth that it was true, I said it anyway: No one. ~Cheryl Strayed 🏔☀️🌲

Still pining for the West Country. Isn’t this ivy swing delightful? The ivy growing down into the river wanting to enjoy the brush from a cool stream. Despite what it looks like, I’m actually sat on the riverbed.

Where did the sun go? Such a fantastic day exploring in the Lake District - just a shame the visibility was so poor! Thanks to @nicholamoreland
for taking lots of fabulous pictures!
Dear Dad, I’m writing this, because it would have been your birthday today, and, this week, it has been 19 years since you have been gone. There is so much I would say if we could celebrate your special day together, maybe sitting here having a beer, which we never got the chance to do, and playing a German game like we used to when I was a little girl. There have been so many birthdays missed, so many Father’s Days forgotten about. .
Coincidentally today, my first German food box arrived on your birthday. I remember all the German treats you would bring back from your business trips and all the times I visited Germany and Europe as a kid, which I didn’t appreciate in the way I would now. There are so many days that I find myself thinking that I will never live up to the legacy you left behind, all the people you influenced, the trips you took, the technologies you helped develop, and all of your pioneering and adventurous ways. The truth is, I don’t think anyone can easily live up to what an inspiring, intelligent, strong-willed, and influential person you were. .
I’m so thankful that I am the lucky girl that can call you my father. I’m the girl who got to start traveling to Europe when I was 2, began learning computing at 7 years old, with a personal computer built just for me, collected hundreds of rocks and fossils, was never afraid to get my hands and feet dirty, and did science projects in our basement by your side. I’m grateful for all the moments I haven’t quite fit in with American women, because you taught me to be different. .
I can only hope that someday I will find my place and purpose in the world and leave behind my own special mark as you did. I promise that I will never stop dreaming and creating, never stop learning, never stop putting in hard work, never stop traveling, and never stop aspiring to be as heroic as you were. And, I promise that I will return to Germany in the very near future. I know one day all of life’s challenges will make sense, and one day we will once again fly in the sky together, which you loved so much. Prost, Dad, with love from your forever proud daughter. 🇩🇪✈️🚁💻❤️
