All too frequently I see clients with problems, many of which could come from poor gut health. Skin conditions, stress, bloating, constantly inconsistent bowel movements, weight gain and more.
I talk about guts all the time: keeping it healthy, good bacteria, bad bacteria but what makes a ‘healthy’ gut?
There is no 'one size fits all' answer for this, every person is different but here are a few things to look for if assessing your gut health.
In short, a healthy gut means you shouldn't have persistent issues with bowel movements, plain or bloating. I don't mean that any of these symptoms occasionally indicate issues but if it becomes regular its always worth checking. So, what makes an ‘unhealthy’ gut?
I would always recommend that any concerns are always best discussed with a GP and here are some of the symptoms that I would consider signs of an unhealthy and unhappy gut that I would encourage you to seek medical opinion on: . Constant stomach pains
. Rapid, unintentional weight loss
. A sudden, persistent change your bowel habits
. Any bleeding, or black, tarry stools

The place I had to get back to. The place that changed my life in the last few days of 2017. I promised myself I’d come back here and I promised that I would be a different person when I did. On December 30th, 2017, I wrote in my journal: “Never forget how at home you feel here. Ever. Come back here. Find your way back - when you’re mentally and physically better, you’ll be ready. Make 2018 the year that changes your life.” And I did. I’ve dropped the weight(40 pounds), dropped the attitude, and dropped the excuses. It’s been the journey of a lifetime and the only was is up. It’s good to be back, Denver. ⛰✨🌿
Eating healthy should not be a chore. Learn to find foods you love. Play around with spices and sauces. You should enjoy every meal. You should look forward to your food. If you’re not enjoying it.. change it.
This was an end of the week dinner. Clearing the fridge left me with a mini eggplant, broccoli, 2 cherry tomatoes and zucchini noodles with a creamy avocado dressing made with half an avocado and nutritional yeast.

The fella across from me was a former personal training client & now my current dentist & a mentor. I love all of the relationships that come with training people. Sometimes you may spend 1:1 with someone for an hour 3x a week for a year! Imagine the conversations that are exchanged! He greeted me with a kiss on the cheek and neon golf balls as a gift 😍we talked business, golf, fantasy football, women, life-it was great! You should have relationships with people that are ahead of you, have done more, experienced more, seen more, & learn from them in any areas of life! You're just silly if you think you know it all 😜
Headed into week 6 of #reversedieting

Keto post 🐄 Not as glamorous as my last post but I told y'all that I'd share my keto journey with you so... here we go.
Nevaeh and I couldn't agree on what we wanted for dinner tonight. Dad's out of town and I wasn't cooking. We're getting closer to 🦈 week and all my body wants is ALL the 🚫 c a r b s 🚫
I satisfied that craving by stopping by Mooyah and created my own 🍔 wrap. I got a lettuce wrapped beef patty (double the patty bc cravings) + double the swiss 🧀 + 🥓 + 🥑 + all the mayo my little heart desired and 💥 BOOM 💥 Deliciousness in my tummy and all of the cravings G O N E. 😋👍🏼
So far, I'm ⬇️ 22 lbs total (17 on keto) the first 5 were from hiking often. I started keto and intermittent fasting at the beginning of May 2018. I'm happy to report back that during my Vegas vacay I stuck with it and it never felt like a hassle or a chore. I didn't even gain a pound. 🙌🏼 Now to only start implementing exercise which I haven't done. 🤔
