Can you spot @richmond19
?? Really puts the size of this place into perspective!
home for the night! ⛺️ and who knew #turkey
had mountains like this?!
one week travelling in eastern anatolia and we've met nada foreigners, haven't spoken english to anyone else besides each other, and it's been great 🇹🇷
It’s finally Friday! One more week till @storms66
and I backpack the Wallowas!
Funny how we are quick to LABEL things. Some places get labeled at touristy... skiers vs snowboarders, mnt biking vs road biking, skating boarding vs fruit booting. @maggiellowe
and I pulled out our rollerblades tonight and had BLAST. I'd rather spend less time worrying about what people think and more time enjoying life. Spend less time labeling people and spend more time being stoked.
We’ve stumbled upon yet another dirty gremlin incident on the river. Someone thought they could outsmart us by hiding their empty beer cans between these two rocks. Bless their hearts. 🧐
Sometimes you just want to look at a river from 5500 feet above as it slithers through the gorge.
“A ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for.”
“We live in a vast and awesome universe in which, daily, suns are made and worlds are destroyed, where humanity clings to an obscure clod of rock.”
So far we’ve hiked a total of 138.2 miles in somewhere around three weeks. We’ve hiked up a few mountains, hiked down a mountain in a thunderstorm, had more car problems, met more cool people, showered in lots of waterfalls, climbed up some rocks, and reconnected with a wonderful old friend. We have just under a week til our trip comes to a close. It hasn’t quite gone as planned (not at all, really), but we’ve certainly made the most of it and plan to continue to do so in the next week.
turned 19. Can you believe that?

First drone attempt struggle... gets drone in the air 15 feet, feels a slight breeze, freaks out, immediately lands said drone 🤣 In other news yes that is a pink lake!
Oh my goodness these views! 😆
Sunburns and mosquito bites don’t matter when you’re on that summit high!
hello, turkey 🇹🇷! we crossed over into the eastern anatolia region of turkey, which sits on the border of Georgia, Iran, Syria, and Armenia.
i've got a lot to catch you up on, and i'm excited to give you guys insight into the *real* turkey -- not the sensationalized s**t the media likes to put out. spoiler alert: if you're a conscious traveller, it's completely safe. i can't wait to show guys around this gorgeous country ☺️
What a good time we had camping(even though it poured rain), getting out on the river, being with friends, having a campfire in July(unheard of in Tennessee)and playing with smoke bombs at sunset. These are the moments that summer is made of and that I won’t soon forget. #shemovesmountains #wekeepyououtdoors #forceofnature
Akubra wearing & Landcruiser driving - I blend in remarkably well until I open my mouth 😆 #australia
is here to remind on how to stay protected from biting insects this summer. For use on clothing, tents, sleeping bags, and other outdoor gear, Sawyer Permethrin is more than just an insect repellent — it actually kills ticks, mosquitoes, spiders, chiggers, mites, and other biting insects. Permethrin is also effective against the Yellow Fever Mosquito, which can transmit the Zika Virus.
Providing a fantastic odorless barrier of protection, a single application of Permethrin lasts for 6 weeks or 6 washings. Using it on outdoor gear also helps reduce the mosquito population in your camp and prevents ticks from attaching to you.
Maximize protection from mosquitoes and ticks by combining Permethrin with Sawyer Picaridin, an effective and comfortable topical repellent. Learn more at sawyer.com/gearsafe/
