SW Come Dine with Me . Once a month a few of us from group have a Jacob's join - last night the theme was picnic food as the weather has been lovely (although too chilly to sit out last night!). Joined for the billionth time yesterday and then proceeded to consume my body weight in dairy milk with daim last night. Smart that. I know this plan works for me albeit very slowly. I know it inside out (I used to be a consultant) and it got me to target before I had my son. I did actually get to target again last year but I've gained what I now know to be 11lb in the last year since being back at work. Current weight 111.1kg. Week 7 done. I've been so quiet this week as I've really just hanged home in my pyjamas and I haven't even done any picture-worthy foods. Plus I've rrally tried my best to catch up on my dietbets. I made it most likely to everyone exept the one that has weigh-in this monday... I should be 110.4kg with my phone and clothes on but my weight stalled this friday because I got my period. I was so close! I was 110.9kg this friday and today I was 111.1kg.. I just neeeded to lose that 0.9kg to make it but nope. Well, I seriously hope my weight goes down for next week as I'm on two kickstarteds and a transformer and their weigh-in is next week. Although a lot of people may put too much focus on bench it’s still a great exercise to develop your chest and get stronger. - Although you need to ensure your form is bang on so you activate the chest properly and keep your shoulders safe. - Follow these 5 steps to see your chest and bench press lifts grow. - 1️⃣. To ensure your shoulders don’t do the work and stay in a safe position pull them down (depress) and then back (retract) to keep them in place. - 2️⃣. Getting your feet into a strong position will allow you to get good leg drive and keep the hips down, which is one thing a lot people forget to avoid. - 3️⃣. As you start to the lower the bar tuck the elbows in slightly to avoid excess strain on the shoulders. - 4️⃣. To keep tension on the chest lower the bar as far as you can until it releases. If you have a very tight chest then this may mean you don’t hit your chest although with a bit of stretching this can be addressed in no time. - 5️⃣. It is a long term game only. It's a lifestyle. People ask me what I have done these past 2 years to get where I am today. No, I doubt count every macro that I eat. I don't obsess over the scale either. I do make sure I sweat everyday (lifting weights 6 days a week, doing cardio 7 days, but taking rest days as needed) as well as eat nourishing and proportional amounts of food 85% of the time. Just remember you are never going to be perfect in this journey but the great thing is that if you mess up one day, you can just brush it off and keep going. I have struggled keeping up with this lifestyle tons of times but I have not quit and I'm not about to. It's almost 1am and I'm fighting the urge to binge. I already ate teter tots with ranch. And I feel overly full. But still I just want to eat. It took me a lot of time and courage to share it with all of you !!! β€’ Before I start, I want to say I’m not doing this to get attention or that you guys need to feel bad for me. I’m doing this because this might help a person’s life. Believe it or not their are many women’s who have gone through this path. β€’ Through my whole weight loss journey I did something that I’m not proud of. I didn’t even know what was wrong with me in that time. I’m so embarrassed to say that I loss weight in an unhealthy way by starving myself, not eating enough food, always skipping meals. I was in a strict/poor diet, focused on doing lots of cardio only. There where some nights that I went to sleep without eating. I have to admit that it worked, but it wasn’t in a healthy way. In the same time I’m proud of myself for losing all that weight but I wish I could’ve done it differently. I did this for about two years in a half, wow just thinking about it shocks me that I never realized what I was doing to my own body. Unfortunately I can’t go back to change what I did to my own health. β€’ The point of sharing my story isn’t just for myself it’s for all my ladies. I want to help and encourage them that if you want to lose weight, please do in a way that won’t put your own health in danger. Coming from my experience don’t make the same mistake as I did, starving yourself is seriously the worst thing you could possibly do. All though this is my past its still hard to talk about, but I was brave enough to share my real weight loss story with the world.
