I convinced myself it was fine to eat whatever I wanted as long as I stayed somewhat consistent with the gym 🙈 Unfortunately I learned pretty quickly that, that is not the case and that eating well is paramount to any changes you want to see in your body 🙏🏼 . Eating well has always been my issue! As a general rule I have no issue in motivating myself to go to the gym, and really enjoy it. You can't complain that your legs are small and wear sweatpants 24/7 to hide them. Instead‼️ try training smarter.🧠 _ •Train each muscle 2-3 times a week. •Get enough REST💤 allowing your muscles to recover. •Eat more food to feed those muscles. •FOCUS ON MIND MUSCLE CONNECTION (important one!) •STRETCH! #transformationtuesday Picture on the right was taken about 3 years ago.. I wasn't quite at my heaviest but it was pretty close. In the picture on the left, I am wearing the same shirt. It is super big on me now. I'm about 40 lbs lighter now than in the other picture!! Pictures like this makes me so happy. Losing weight is one of the hardest things I've ever done. You have to have the right mindset. That right there is the reason why I failed before.. I now believe I will accomplish this and smash my goals... 👱🏻‍♀️WAYS TO GIVE YOUR VEGGIES VARIETY 🐢 - 😁My Dad Kieran Duff has always had an allotment the slogan “vegetables are life” very much fitted in with my upbringing & it’: a habit that stayed strong always. - 💥Even at uni when most others were revelling in not being made to eat veggies anymore, I was on my own in the veggie aisle getting stocked up. - 💁🏼‍♀️I am aware that people get bored hence why I’m sharing these ideas because there really isn’t any need to. There is always a way to make them a bit more interesting. - 🙊Play hide & seek which is awesome if you’re not fan of veggies or maybe your kids Carrots, courgettes & mushroom are some of my fav& honestly trust me when I say you can't taste them ✏️For me I'm just using them to add some extra volume which is aces on your belly & wallet - 🙊Pimp them by adding your favourite flavour . You won't need to use a huge amount so for example a couple of teaspoon of curry paste or a reduced calorie pesto can do a lot to a bowl greens. It’s not mean to be a sauce just a taste. - 💁🏼‍♀️Boiled isn't the only way & actually in my opinion there is nothing more miserable than a plate of boiled veg. - 😍Try steaming / stir fry/ or roasting all far more delicious & can make the same veg taste really quite differently. #transformationtuesday If you’re waiting for a sign to start, this is it. Start small, go at your own pace, but go forward! Yes, it’s hard, yes it will test you in ways you didn’t know were possible emotionally and mentally, but you have so many chances to start, why not make this the final time you have to? If you had asked me a year ago if I thought I would be where I am today, I would have scoffed. But behind that standoffish reaction was someone who was scared of failing again after years of “diets” (crash dieting, yo-yo dieting, pills, quick fixes, you name it) and dangerous habits (habitually emotional binge eater). This time though I let that fear of failing and that fight against those struggles drive me to my goals to not be smaller, but to be better. At the end of the day I know failure is not an option, progress is always happening whether it’s on the scale or not. My quality of life and happiness is growing every single day. I’ve gained lasting friendships, more knowledge, better sense of self care and love.
