As most of you know (cuz I keep talking about it lol), I've been reallllly going through it with my depression and binge-eating. To be honest, it's made losing weight about a trillion times more difficult for me but, I'm tough--I'm not giving up on myself or my health. I will keep moving forward, even when it feels like the whole world is against me.
These transformation pictures remind me that I have made progress. Even when the voices in my head are saying that I'm not good enough, or I'll never reach my goals, I can look at these pictures and think, "nope, fuck that!". I have made some huge changes and I will continue to do so even when times are hard!
I'm slowly learning that all progress isn't lost just because I mess up a few times. If you also struggle with binge eating you might be able to relate to the feeling of hopelessness afterwards--and feeling like you just ruined everything you'd been working so hard for.
The truth is, everyone messes up on their weight loss journey. Everybody makes mistakes (cue Hannah Montana) but, the key is getting up, dusting yourself off, and trying again. As long as you keep trying, you will see results. Giving up gets you nowhere and you'll just have to start all over again somewhere down the line! So, if you are also struggling, just know that you are not alone and even if you mess up, you can always get back up and try again. These hard times only make us stronger and we will reach our goals one step at a time!! / *
