Itโ€™s not but it is . This is exactly a year ago. June 18th, 2017. Less than 2 weeks post op sitting at around 240ish. Here I am a year later and Iโ€™m sitting at 150ish(because no weigh June going strong yโ€™all! @fatpeoplemagic ) and Iโ€™m a Newly NASM certified personal trainer. Do you think that girl thought to herself โ€œin a year Iโ€™m going to be a personal trainerโ€? HELLLL NO. But she worked for it this past year. She changed her mindset. She ate healthy. She moved her body. SHE WORKED FOR IT. Shout out to this girl for making me the woman I am today. I was fed up with that life so I decided to create a new one for myself. Shoot for at the highest 1% MAYBE 2% of your weight per week (in the beginning) and plan accordingly. - No detox drink is going to help you. Stop buying them. Stop buying those stupid wraps. Stop buying fat burners. They donโ€™t work and/or they arenโ€™t safe. - Stop believing any diet will magically allow you to forget about calories. Fasting and keto are not magic. STOPPPPPP thinking that. - Itโ€™s going to take time. Youโ€™ll have to eat more filling foods to help with appetite unless you donโ€™t suffer from appetite issues and just struggle with understanding portions. - Get some movement in. Walk every day. Lift weights a few times a week. Monday! โ˜€๏ธ - - New week, new opportunities, and for me itโ€™s really the start of a new routine. My family is opening a restaurant so my job and work schedule is going to change drastically because Iโ€™ll be managing the front of the house, so figuring out my new gym schedule is gonna be an interesting experiment ๐Ÿ˜…Either way though Iโ€™m still following my same split, and aiming to really get 5 full cardio sessions in. Well itโ€™s been a week without workouts. Got sick and then work stress just didnโ€™t let me get better from getting sick. However, this weekend we decided that enough is enough and today weโ€™d start again. We woke up too late though so we did Total Body Core from ALO instead of week 2 of 80 DO! At least we got a workout in! I have three more workdays until this school year is done and through Iโ€™ll miss my littles Iโ€™m ready for vacation!!

Today's Topic . FOODS THAT BLOAT - I was chatting to one of my online coaching clients the other day about her feeling bloated and why this may be. Now bloating is normally a temporary thing that will go away. It certainly doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re getting fat ๐Ÿ™„ There are many reasons for feeling bloated; food related and non-food related. In this post Iโ€™m going to look at certain foods that MIGHT (you see that? Might!) make you feel bloated . . Itโ€™s quite common to see foods, such as, dairy, refined sugars and refined grains (like gluten) be top of the list. Artificial sweeteners can also have a bloating effect. The reason why I put a picture of a protein bar is because, despite being considered a โ€˜healthyโ€™ snack, these are often full of sweeteners, sugar alcohols and poor quality protein (usually soy) . . Interesting is that some vegetables high in sulfur, like broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower can cause bloating and gas in some people. Carbonated drinks sounds obvious too, especially when combined with artificial sweeteners. Undigested protein (or poor quality protein) can also play havoc in the gut, despite having loads of benefits. Eat slower! . . So how can you tell what is causing you to bloat? Itโ€™s difficult, I get it. Be aware of what youโ€™re eating and write down how you feel after each meal. If thereโ€™s a particular meal that caused an issue, look at the individual components of said meal. Next time remove 1 or 2 and see how you feel. Basically, itโ€™s a lot of trial and error and being in tune with your body . . Any questions please comment below and feel free to share this information . .
