the past few weeks I've been working really hard to stay on track with my eating, get in enough exercise, and make sure that I'm taking care of myself in the best ways possible! I've also managed to lose almost all the extra weight I gained back and I'm only 5 lbs away from being back at my lowest weight on this journey.
that being said, I've gotten a ton of questions regarding what I've been doing to be successful lately so, here we go: I haven't been following any particular way of eating, rather, just counting calories and making sure I eat mostly whole foods. Generally I stay between 1600-1800 calories per day but, if I exercise a ton on a certain day, that number bumps up to ~2,000 cals. With that, I also like to workout 4-5 days per week, whether that's strength training in the gym, going for walks, or doing some form of exercise at home! Essentially, I'm just sticking to the basics here and that's what has been working for me lately!
i also think one of the main reasons I've been successful lately is because I've been focusing a lot more on myself and my mental health. as I've said in the past, mental health is such an important part of this journey that many of us tend to overlook. by helping myself get to a better place mentally, the impact has been so positive on my weight-loss and overall happiness.
keep this quote in mind: "the body achieves what the mind believes". try to think positively about your journey, and reaffirm your ability to do this on a daily basis!
