I did not know this. - Did you know tonic water has calories!? I didn’t… - I was at a club with my friend, David, and he told me that tonic water is just carbonated water. I believed him, but when I drank my gin & tonic… It was super sweet. I asked him if he was sure and then he reassured me. - Two weekends later, I wonder why tonic water is just not called club water? I see them bottled with two different labels. So I decided to investigate... - Lo and behold… Tonic water has sugar in it… 35g of sugar/carbs per 12 fluid ounces. That’s about 124 calories. - Since I am going out this weekend, I am definitely going to avoid getting gin and tonic again. I am sticking to gin & diet Coke or whatever diet flavored mixer. Meal prep just doesn’t get any easier than this! So if you’ve been thinking about prepping but have felt a little intimidated give this a go. When you’re through you’ll be set up with breakfast, lunches, dinners, & snacks for the whole week🙌 - This stuff you just have to purchase (no cooking/ prep needed👊) 🔹Single Serve Greek Yogurts 🔹Frozen Berries 🔹Bananas 🔹2-3 bags salad (get a variety) 🔹Big Carton Grape Tomatoes 🔹Container of shredded carrots/zucchini 🔹5-6 Tuna Packs 🔹16 oz Deli Fresh Turkey 🔹Microwave Ready potatoes (reg/sweet) 🔹4-5 Bags Frozen Veggies 🔹 Bag Apples 🔹Bag Beef Jerky 🔹Box Protein Bars 🔹Box Pre-Made Protein Shakes 🔹Box low-cal Single Serve Treats (I’ve listed a bunch down my feed) - These couple of things you gotta prep: 🔹Cook a Big Pot of Oatmeal 🔹Boil a dozen eggs 🔹Cook 2-3 cups rice in rice cooker (or use stove top if u don’t have one) 🔹Crock Pot a pork loin (use an easy low cal sauce - There’re some good ones down my feed!) 🔹Grill 2-3 pounds chicken (keep it simple and use a dry chicken spice blend) - You could get all that cooking done in less than an hour. Maybe even 30 minutes! ( not counting the time the pork loin is in the crockpot) - You can then portion things out in all sorts of combos: 🍳 Bkfst: could be oatmeal W/berries & 2 eggs. Or a protein shake & banana. Or yogurt w/berries, an egg & an apple 🥗 Lunch and dinner there are handfuls of possibilities: mix and match any of the proteins, veggies & carb sources! Remember: For fat-loss the number 1 consideration is a calorie deficit!!! - A whole week‘s worth of food- done & done. 💪💕 Kim

Comment with what you think! 💪 @samstartshere "happy friends!! -- the past few weeks I've been working really hard to stay on track with my eating, get in enough exercise, and make sure that I'm taking care of myself in the best ways possible! I've also managed to lose almost all the extra weight I gained back and I'm only 5 lbs away from being back at my lowest weight on this journey. -- that being said, I've gotten a ton of questions regarding what I've been doing to be successful lately so, here we go: I haven't been following any particular way of eating, rather, just counting calories and making sure I eat mostly whole foods. Generally I stay between 1600-1800 calories per day but, if I exercise a ton on a certain day, that number bumps up to ~2,000 cals. With that, I also like to workout 4-5 days per week, whether that's strength training in the gym, going for walks, or doing some form of exercise at home! Essentially, I'm just sticking to the basics here and that's what has been working for me lately! -- i also think one of the main reasons I've been successful lately is because I've been focusing a lot more on myself and my mental health. as I've said in the past, mental health is such an important part of this journey that many of us tend to overlook. by helping myself get to a better place mentally, the impact has been so positive on my weight-loss and overall happiness. -- keep this quote in mind: "the body achieves what the mind believes". try to think positively about your journey, and reaffirm your ability to do this on a daily basis! / " _____________________ Want to Make a Transformation Like This? Read ya Labels by @aestheticphysiquescoaching - I’ve been dabbling in protein cookies recently because well, I like cookies. - The obvi forerunner in the protein cookie space is Lenny & Larry’s Complete Cookie. They have all the right things highlighted on the package: 16g of protein per cookie, 10g of fiber, fresh baked and no high fructose corn syrup. - However, what they don’t mention is a serving is ½ a cookie. Who the hell is gonna have the willpower to eat half a damn cookie? If you totally glazed over the serving size you’ve just eaten 400 calories, 14g of fat, 58g of carbs and a measly 16g of protein. Honestly, you were better off eating a handful of Oreo’s. - But the wonderful people at @QuestNutrition came through again. Their serving size is one whole cookie that will deliver 250 calories, 17g of fat, 19g of carbs (9g of fiber and 6g of Erythritol) and 15g of protein. Breakfast/lunch lol it’s 3pm and I’m just now eating 😂 this is about a cup of meatless crumbles, half a cup of broccoli, and 200 grams of red potatoes topped with pineapple salsa and HC ranch! It always amazes me how much food I’m able to make for so little calories at home vs how many calories this would have been if I had ordered it in a restaurant 👏🏻 there’s nothing like making your own food at home 😛 cals : 435

It's cool to see my choices at gas stations nowadays. I still get excited to stop and get a drink or snack. The only difference is my mentality of fueling my body and not giving into instant gratification of eating that Reese's pb cup and starbucks frapp. I'm so used to this lifestyle, at this point, that I don't really see big differences in my breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks anymore, so it felt good today when I realized how different my choices really are! ❤
Warning: this is a sentimental girl typing a long caption!☺️I do remember it as if it was yesterday.. June 2015, I was chilling at the beach of Ibiza with my family and I decided to launch the Foodie-ness blog. Why? After years of struggling with being overweight, unhealthy and insecure I found my happiest flow and SO BADLY had the wish to help others realize their health and happiness goals too. It all started as a hobby next to my fulltime job as a Project Manager + traineeship at Hewlett Packard and after 1,5 years turned into a job change. It's quite funny that I have two Master degrees in Business Administration, but never had a clue how to run a company and (I'm getting closer to making my point😝) manage a team. I have always been a people person and did know for sure I wanted to do this with a team. I'm a big believer in women that empower another and the power of teamwork, and having fun is more important to me than anything! I'm so blessed for having found 5 amazing girls that have put their trust in me🙏🏻Every day they put all their love and energy in Foodie-ness and it feels indescribable to be living this dream together. These girls are my Foodie-ness family and it's always my highest priority to make them feel appreciated, special and happy every single day. So I've had this ultimate wish to spoil them by bringing the girls with me to Ibiza (the island where Foodie-ness was born!) on a mini Foodie-ness team vacay. It wasn't easy, but here we are, it's happening! I never talk about this "business" part of Foodie-ness, but I really wanted to share this moment with you.
