This is how I ate EVERY DAY for YEARS. I never gained weight, but I also never listened to my parents when they told me it would catch up to me...and eventually it did. I honestly didn’t notice it until one day here I was 45 lbs overweight wondering when and how I let this happen 🤷🏼♀️ I cant even tell you how many times I bawled my eyes out over clothes not fitting anymore, feeling disgusted with myself, not wanting to put on a bathing suit, and not being able to look as good in clothes as my friends did. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Jk but I honestly really liked his last post and I wanted to add on one point that is huge that I know he will agree with. .
That point is that you MUST have an open mind while losing weight. What this means is that I highly reccomend you not only focus on building your mentality during weightloss but you also keep your mind open to ideas. .
So many people get caught up in there own ways, or what so and so told them at the gym that they refuse to listen to other things around them. I fell huge victim to this. I recently had to admit to myself that even though I know how to lose weight the right way according to science, that there are other factors that are involved and a huge one is your mentality.
You can know it all but still fail or struggle because your mind isn't in the right place. So the end message is really REALLY focus on improving your relationship with food WHILE losing weight. Dont restrict, dont follow fads, take in all information as it is but find what works best for you and roll with it.
This picture is a result of me not focusing on my relationship with food and not having an open mind. I am now focusing on rebuilding that while losing weight and a slow and maintanable rate. You got this.

How many of you feel like you ‘overdid’ it this weekend with burgers, treats, or drinks? 🍔🍰🍷
As an online fitness coach & personal trainer, my texts are always flooded Sunday’s & Monday’s from my clients freaking out about me being mad at them or losing their progress.
A couple reminders:
1️⃣ You don’t need permission from me, or anyone else, to enjoy food. It doesn’t mean you’re not healthy or ‘fit’ enough because you overate. You’re not ‘wrong’ for enjoying food.
2️⃣ You didn’t ‘lose’ all your progress. You’re not in competition with anyone else about how much you weigh or what your body looks like. This is your own journey - no one else’s. You’re not ‘losing’ to anyone.
3️⃣ Your fitness journey should add VALUE to your life. This should (for the most part) be fun! So if what you’re doing to get healthier isn’t adding value to your life, CHANGE WHAT YOU’RE DOING. This journey shouldn’t be a burden. Change your method, your focus, change something.

When I was first trying to lose weight back in college (before I knew anything about nutrition and wasn’t a personal trainer), I decided to start working with a personal trainer.
One day, he asked to look at my food log and made this⬆️ comment regarding my banana in my daily smoothies.
I was a little taken aback that a banana could be preventing my weight loss (I mean, it’s a fucking banana, come on dude), but I wanted to lose weight so I did as he said.
Now looking back, I can see this advice for what it was <—— wrong and uneducated 🙅🏻♀️
Anyone who tells you that you HAVE to completely remove anything from your diet to lose weight (let alone a freaking banana) is feeding you a crock of shit 💩 (to put it nicely) and they’re not educated enough on nutrition or how the human body works.
Yes, there will always be some exceptions depending on your health history, but this rule will stand true for most people.
RESTRICTING yourself of the things you love is never🚫 the answer to long term health, weight loss, or happiness. I would know, I did it for long enough.
It’s for that very reason that I place such a heavy emphasis on 2 things in my Healthy As F*** Weight Loss Coaching program:
1️⃣Allowing my clients to know that they can still eat the foods they love and...
2️⃣Actually educating them on the WHY behind their nutrition and fitness plans. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want them to feel empowered with the necessary knowledge to KNOW that they’re doing what’s best for their body, mind, and goals.
You don’t need to (and shouldn’t be) overly restricting yourself. That will ONLY ever lead to a cycle of binging and yo-yo dieting at best.
You CAN STILL eat the foods you love and see results, I promise 😉.

Four... it’s ALWAYS easier with a friend, coach or accountability buddy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do it alone, it’s just harder that way.
Fifth, you WILL get there so long as you follow your program and do not quit. We promise you that.
So no matter where you are — or where you want to be — be patient (what other choice do you have?), work hard, sweat often and eat well. You got this, and we believe in you!

Try doing wall sits when you're waiting around for something. Do it during a long phone call, microwave reheat or just about anything else. Make sure you're doing them properly.

By popular demand, here's my recipe for SWEET POTATO BROWNIES 🍫
I know some of you may be making faces like 😝😳😐, but let me first start off by saying these taste NOTHING like sweet potatoes! .
How do I know? My kids love them and my guests didn't know the difference 😂
DISCLAIMER: these are just plain Jane white chocolate chips- nothing special or secretly healthy about them.
Here's how I made them:
-1/2c cocoa powder
-2tsp instant coffee
-1/3-1/2c maple syrup
-1c whole wheat or oat flour ** I was out of oats so I used almond flour this time and it cane out fine!
-1 tsp baking soda
-pinch of salt -1 1/2c mashed cooked sweet potato (or use jarred baby food)
-6 eggs -2 tsp vanilla -nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9x13 pan
Combine all dry ingredients in one bowl.
In a small bowl mix the sweet potatoes, eggs, vanilla and maple syrup.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold nuts or chocolate chips into batter.
Pour into baking pan and bake for 35-45minutes.

Sometimes you’re not going to be motivated to do this. This is a journey that wears you down if you’re not serious or didn’t think you really had to fully change. Well you do if you don’t you’ll return from whence you came.
A Coach is someone that will push you pass your comfort zone, a Coach will believe in you until you learn to believe in yourself one thing a Coach can’t do is want it for you more than you want it for yourself at times we do but realize we can’t.
In other words, winners anticipate, plan, and strategize. They don't wing it!
