200kg x3 deadlift . Great to be back training with ma boi @gtdubs yesterday. Deadlifts were on the menu, and worked up to this triple which felt a lot heavier than it should . This lead to an interesting conversation about specificity in training. In that I can lift stones, carry farmer's walks, and flip tyres all with relative ease, yet I have a very poor deadlift for my size and weight . Simple answer to this is that I don't deadlift very often, and you can't expect meaningful progress in a lift without training it . Really want to improve my deadlift, as I know it will have carry over to so many other exercises, so will be deadlifting twice per week from now on, one volume session, and one heavy session . Plan will be to add 10kg per week for as long as possible. That means a 240kg triple in one month. Best get training! . #PovertyDeadlift

But so does everything else youโ€™ve eaten ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ - Whether you lose, maintain or gain weight, it is overall calories that has determined the outcome. Not the snicker you had with your lunch ๐Ÿซ - Of course there are other factors that can affect your weight. Water, inter-intestinal food and of course... ๐Ÿ’ฉ - Other things to consider is your activity level. Have you been as active this week as you were last week? Have your workouts been as intense as previous weeks? Have you been hitting the same amount of steps? ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ - Whatever your goal, the main thing to do is make sure that you are consistent. Eat your protein, hit your steps, lift your weights and track your calories๐Ÿ—๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ“Š - If you have an off day, donโ€™t dwell on it. We all have them. Get yourself back on the wagon immediately and keep going ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ - If youโ€™re doing all this and you still arenโ€™t losing weight then you may need to recalculate your total calorie intake, or you may have overestimated your activity levels. - The main thing to do is not panic and start to starve yourself.
