The pure-silica sand at Lake McKenzie is what gives the beach it's powdery white look and crystal clear blue waters💦. It can also be used to exfoliate your skin and clean your jewellery💍! If you do decide to go swimming🏊♀️ in the lake avoid wearing sunscreen as it can damage the delicate ecosystem. 📷 by @ourcollectiveadventure
During the day on Fraser Island, it can be pretty hot which makes the Champagne Pools 🌊 an excellent place to cool off and unwind. 📷 by @sonnen.gekuesst

It's a bumpy journey navigating the sand trails, but well worth it when you step foot on soft white silica sand skirting the piercing blue water of Lake McKenzie on @visitfraserisland.
Spanning 150ha (yes, really) this freshwater perched lake sits 100m above sea level and is fed only by rainwater, with the pure sand acting as a filter, providing clarity to the water. Have you taken a dip in the refreshing waters of this @visitfrasercoast

Fraser Island / 14.1 / The Champagne Pools / 🍾 /
During day 2 at the island we made our way up to the Champagne Pools which are some natural pools by the ocean where you can just sit there and relax while observing and feeling some waves, another relaxing destination. I don’t think this picture does justice this place though, during this day the temperatures were pretty hot which made the pools an excellent place to unwind while in Fraser (k-gari)
