Have You Ever Felt The Need To Strength Train Buy Just Couldn’t Make It To The Gym?
Lately that has been happening to me a lot. Yes I own and work in a gym, but sometimes I only have time to train my clients and teach classes while I’m there then I have to head home to the little babe. I’ve accepted it and now I just make sure to get creative with my workouts.
Yes, to me nothing compares to a good lifting session in the gym. Sometimes a busy life just doesn’t allow for it, so in order to keep my strength up I have to find other ways to put in work!!
I’m not worried about weight loss or anything really other than feeling good. I have lost a lot of muscle since #pregnancy
- I’m actually about 10-12lbs lighter than I was pre-preggo. I am in no rush to gain that muscle back as I know this is a period in my life and what’s more important is time with my baby, family, and of course ensuring my clients are successful. I try to get at least 3 strength workouts in per week whether it’s a gym workout or an outdoor one like above. I know if I let too many days go by without getting in a workout for myself I start to feel it both mentally & physically. Incorporating Jax into my workouts is fun and now that he’s about 20lbs sure is a challenge! Lol.
Moral of the story, don’t be so hard on yourself. If you don’t have time to get to the gym - just get moving in any capacity. This is an immoderate energy boost for me to keep going brought the day. Play if you are a Mom, it’s even more fun bringing your sidekick along for the ride!!!

So it’s officially the first day of summer!! We’ve actually been basking in a heat wave the past few days but I for one don’t mind it! My poor dog on the other hand.. I’ve been keeping him inside, with the a/c on even when I’m not home. Even at 8pm, I feel like it’s still too warm for him to go out for walks. I can’t bring him to the dog park because he’ll go nuts and overheat. What are some ways you guys have to help your furry friends stay cool???
