Fans were not particularly fond of Jason Todd when he first appeared in Batman stories as the second Robin. It was actually put to a fan vote, and by a narrow margin, they voted to have the character die. Jason had a difficult life growing up, with a broken family and empoverished life. Batman first met Jason when he was trying to steal the tires off the Batmobile! Despite this, fans were reluctant to accept the character. His death at the hands of the Joker, resurrection in the Lazarus Pit and transformation into the anti-hero Red Hood started to turn that around. In the current Red Hood story lines, he and the Bat family have a strained relationship, but he agrees not to kill. Jason Todd is a complicated and emotional character who blurs the line between right and wrong, just and immoral. His appearances have been limited in adaptations of the character with references in the @suicidesquadmovie
films and a great portrayal as the Arkham Knight in the @batmanarkham
video game series, voiced by @officialtroybaker.
His most prominent appearance was in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood, voiced by @jensenackles.
The actor I think that could best portray Jason's emotional fragility and intense, angry anti-heroism is @glassofwhiskey.
Everyone knows Aaron Paul from his incredible performance as Jesse Pinkman in @amcbreakingbad.
The character of Jesse Pinkman actually shares a lot of similarities with Jason Todd and I think Aaron's acting experience and skill speak for themselves. I think he would be great for this role. Who would you cast?
Next week, let's cast one of the "coolest" Batman villains-Mr. Freeze!
