HEAL OUR PLANET 🌎
where do I even begin? Wednesday we drove deep into the jungle with our new Maya friend, Gabo, and we left touched and inspired.
It was such a refreshing experience to see how the Mayas take care care the Earth to a whole new level. The Earth is their medicine, it provides their food, shelter, water, everything they need and in return they treat it with the utmost respect. They take care of the animals (parrots, monkeys, deer, owls, snakes etc.) protect them and treat them when they are hurt. When an animal heals, they release it back into the wild and they will all gather to have a special ceremony for it. They pick up trash in the jungle, it’s not their trash, it’s others. Resorts will dump their trash in the jungle, piles and piles and the Mayas clean it up, recycling and reusing everything they can and dispose of the rest properly. They live a simple, beautiful life.
Pictured is probably the most beautiful place I have ever seen. This underground cenote is on their land and we got to swim and explore all around it. Thankful for this incredible experience.
We will not be the same and I can’t express the excitement we have to push for change to HEAL OUR PLANET. God has placed everything we need on this Earth.. food, medicine, water, community. He knew exactly what we needed. So let’s do our part to protect it, heal it and preserve it 🙏🏻🌎 • • •
