I've been in creation mode and I'm truly enjoying the clarity and moments of flow I'm afforded while creating. It's good soul food. It isn't always a productive day and I'm learning not to push against that energy but embrace it. Because when the getting is good, it's oh so good. Im a entrepreneur & a mom so much about cultivating both my creations, my business and my baby requires untainted energy. I'm loving the balance. I can't wait to share everything with you all. I'm building my empire and legacy brick by brick and it's lookn good honey ✨🖤

I'm so grateful for the heartbreak that led me to this #SelfDiscoveryJourney
Without it, The Haven never would have come to fruition. .
I never would have come to fruition....🙇🏽♀️💖👑🙏🏽
Recently I had a conversation with someone about our perception of time. During an emergent or dangerous situation (a close call to car accident), he has experienced what seemed like the Matrix effect of time where things rolled out frame by frame in slow motion and his perception were lengthened even though in reality everything happened in fractions of seconds.
Time has not slowed down, but why is our perception so different when we are put under a certain set of circumstance?
Conversely, why do all of us feel like our time spent being upside down feels like forever?
I suspect that, just like how our mind adapts to "fight or flight" situation by absorbing a lot more information than usual and "slowing" down the time - our senses and awareness are heightened similarly in handstand. The difference is that in handstand practice, we train our mind to be steady, to respond rather than to react, and to eventually turn the supposedly "threatening" situation into something manageable. And it is no wonder some may refer to inversion practices as a moving meditation.
Happy Monday! In what ways do you train your mind? 😊🙏
Welcome to my first #meatlessmonday
(except we are going full vegan for this one). My goal is to create meals of substance with protein content. I’ll be posting all my meals throughout my feed, my stories as well as IGtv. If you need other ways to incorporate protein, stay tuned!
So let’s start with breakfast
Mango Banana Smoothie Bowl 🍃1 frozen banana
🍃3 tbsp chopped mango
🍃1 cup fresh spinach
🍃1/2 cup unsweetened cashew milk
🍃3 tbsp oats
🍃1 tbsp raw sunflower seeds
🍃1 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds
Mix banana, spinach, 2 tbsp of mango and oats in a blender. Top with remaining tbsp of oats, mango, sunflower and pumpkin seeds
Mix and enjoy!

When you deeply love yourself, others people’s negative words roll off your back.
Self talk is an opportunity for us to see what we truly believe. Once we become aware of our script, we have a window of opportunity to edit that script. -
Try an exercise. For a few days or a week, write or record (on your phone or on paper) what your mind is actually saying.
You may find some patterns of thought that aren’t serving you AT ALL! Then go beyond and search for the old feelings that began playing these messages. -
Let go of the judgement and resentments within. Then, you will be at peace with those without.
Making peace with yourself and your thoughts is a healing beyond words...and beyond the ordinary. It’s extraordinary! Why not go for the extraordinary?😉💗
You have two choices when you face struggles in life.
You can learn and overcome it or you can let it overtake you and suck you into a dark hole but only you can decide which route to take.
You and only you are responsible for your life even if someone did do something awful to you.... you have to take your power back🖤
Allow your struggle to become part of your story but don’t get frustrated when you fall, it takes lots of practice.

Do you love sushi?!
Does it make you feel super guilty having it?
I used to feel that way too!
Tonight I went out for sushi with 3 high school friends and we talked (and ate) for hours! It was absolutely amazing.
5 years ago, tonight wouldn’t have happened. I would have HD such good anxiety over the calories that I’d bail last minute saying I wasn’t feeling well.
Let me make this clear:
I WOULD HAVE MISSED AN OPPORTUNITY TO CATCH UP WITH FRIENDS AND CHAT FOR HOURS BECAUSE I WAS ANXIOUS OVER CALORIES!
Let that sink in.
Heres the thing, life (and fitness) is about balance. Meals like sushi are apart of that.
They are NOT cheating.
Food. Is. Not. Cheating.
I took years to learn that and now I want you to learn it too!
So to repeat: food is not cheating!
However, it can make you feel bloated and no one loves that. So how do you balance your day when you know you have an event or a dinner out with friends?
Here’s my advice:
• drink lots of water. Meals out tend to be high in sodium and this causes thirst. Drink lots in advance to help flush it out
• keep the rest of your day lighter. Stick to leaner proteins, veggies and fruits so you’re not starving
• get active. Getting a walk or hike in helps you mentally destress and takes your focus off the high calories meal
• focus on the positives. Remind yourself what it feels like to reconnect with friends and family and focus on that
• eat mindfully. Take smaller bites, chew well and let your body enjoy and digest. This way you’re eating without binging but sill enjoying the flavours of the food!
Let’s find balance in our lives and remember that restriction and guilt when it comes to food are things we CAN work through! #foodisnotcheating
