It is said that luck is success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions.
Well, I am here to tell ya. I actually don’t believe in luck. Everything that happens in life can be traced back to some amount of effort.
During game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals, played against the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz, Michael Jordan performed with Flu like symptoms. It is thought to have been one of Michael’s best games ever, as he willed himself to scoring 38 points. Many commentators, felt that he had luck on his side. But Jordan didn’t have luck at all. It was time in service. Michael Jordan had been playing basketball since he was a child. To later being drafted in the NBA in 1984. Even on a bad day, Jordan was good because he’h been putting in work since his childhood. 💜
So, when someone say, Danny…. you are so lucky to be able to travel the world. Nah, I am not lucky at all. I worked overtime and sacrificed daily in order to live the life I am living now. I skipped getting the latest hand bags and shoes to be able to enjoy visiting places like Barbados on the regular. Where the sun gives you life and the crystal blue waters make you smile, where the day to day hustle of life, is like a sweet whine to soca music, where the Rum Punch exudes nothing but rum, and where the locals become family.
So, there’s no luck here. Just a made up mind with a crazy work ethic and a vision bigger than life.
