After five intense rounds of in-the-oven combat, this delicious strawberry cheesecake scone sent it’s challenger, the always rich, always exciting “Kid Colton” to the mat, with a final judges score of 19 – 14. Late round haymakers set the tone for this miraculous finish, as none of “The Kid Colton’s” sweet berries nor it’s surprisingly subtle gorgonzola cream could starve off its ultimate fate!

Decided to punish myself a bit today and climb up Southfork Mountain just to look at Whiskeytown Lake. For the first hour it didn’t feel like it was going to be worth it, plus it’s the first hot day of the year... but after I sat there eating my powerbar and sucking down my second bottle, it all started making sense why my mind wanted to go up there even though my body didn’t. 💪🏻👌🏻
