Hola #GracefulSisters 📸by: @zyandric (random shoot came out beautifully, thanks!). The Essence of Who We Are?
Have you ever had someone ask you who are you , or who are your parents? Old Bahamians would ask "Who's ya ma? "or "who you kin to?". Or old Haitians "Pitit ki moun ou ye?" (Who's Child are you?) or "Ki kote famile ou soti?" (Where is your family from ?) The reasons for asking those questions are many but it all boils down to helping them identify you and see what space or level of access you get in their lives.
I was recently asked by a stranger to tell my story and to be honest it was weird (my palms got sweaty) at first but as the conversation progressed I got more comfortable. However after the meeting I thought of all the other things I could have told the person to make myself sound more like me. I thought more interesting points about my life. I thought I sounded a bit to rehearsed (at least at the beginning of the conversation). I was saying what I felt he wanted to hear because of what I usually post on my social media and I wanted to stay in context. For the rest of my weekend I pondered on who I really was, am now and is becoming. I thought of my purpose in comparison to my past . I tried to see myself in the world's eyes (ya'll I straight up viewed my facebook profile as a visitor), because I want to know if when I do tell my story will it be taken the way I told it. I want to know if what I am giving to the world a true expression who I am or have I gotten off track for the sake of staying in context and building a brand image. See you on live tonight at 10pm.
.... the one with the textured jacket! I think that this could become a new firm friend of mine if it lives up to how good it looks online in the actual flesh. It's that in between season, dress up, dress down kind of jacket that will go with a lot that I already own. The last jacket that I bough from hm was a bright green textured jacket which I have worn loads and love wearing. I have high hopes that this will live up to the green jacket (crossing fingers I'm not disappointed) Wear it with denim jeans or leathers, a white or grey t-shirt, suede boots for the day and strappy heels for the night and you're good to go! I saw this on the hm insta feed and couldn't find in online, thanks to @connie.be who managed to track it down 😀 I'm getting my spending in - I am hoping that June and July are my spend free months, except for when I'm in the states of course 😉 #lookoftheday#hm#texturedjacket#highstreet#theinbetweener#mystyle#mumstyle#fashion#style#outfitideas#dresslikeamum#outfitinspiration#littlesquaresofinspo#instastyle#instafashion#whattowear#styleoftheday
This Country has a Long List of Fuckery as Tradition! From "fighting" for freedom from England and a Crown only to pick up a Govt that ended up owing the same Crown it "revolted" against TO allowing false flags to win support against an "evil Axis" only to then allow the most vile from said "evil" to dominate and dictate your space program and covert operations and public health systems despite seeing their handiwork beforehand! It didn't stop there as we All know with 9/11 and the Defense Contractor Wars that are still being fought and trying to push more troops into perceived harms way! All for the Dollar since day one and always the Citizens left to suffer! Yet we cheer and line up to vote and debate on candidates that They Already Shown You And Told You ARE Preselected and Not Elected! We have evidences of otherworldly existence that most think as Conspiracy or Fantasy, yet most are Dumb enough to Believe that collectively or individually there is nothing Any Government can do to End Hunger-Poverty-War-Suffering-Illiteracy-and many Diseases! It's all a business! Turns mic back over to the #SheepleOfAmerikkka
