“I’ll never forget that day...” Peter says aloud, a pair of fingers dragging along the glass of a framed picture of his parents.
Richard and Mary Parker were both partners in C.I.A. employment, as well as in life. In an all but a forbidden love, Mary, who was well off in terms of education and promise, joined the C.I.A., using her skills for not only her resume, but to fit in with her would be husband. After years of working together, they would grow to become a pro dominant force in the C.I.A.’s tactical maneuvers. After many missions of espionage were completed, the two would take on the task of rescuing “Weapon X” from the evil clutches of the Baroness and Baron Wolfgang von Strucker. After a successful mission, “The Wolverine” would reciprocate their efforts with forever being in their debt, as well as their friend, as Logan would the first to congratulate them on the birth of their first child, Peter.
Years later, while on a mission to investigate Albert Malik, the third Red Skull, they posed as traitors and double agents to infiltrate his criminal organization in Algeria, before ultimately being discovered. Malik would then have an assassin, the Finisher, kill the married duo by sabotaging their airplane, thus causing it to crash in what would be a fatal catastrophe.
