Mine was begging for rest, for sleep, for anything but more physical activity. So I gave her just that! ⁣ ⁣ Today I am back, feeling good as new!!! I will get my final workout of the week in tomorrow, NO BIGGIE!!!⁣ ⁣ Get in tune with your body y’all. Listen to it. Sure I'm tired & sore. I woke up late today. Still can't eat the right foods due to my wisdom teeth being removed. I have to be up at 5:30 am after working a 10 hour day. I have an hour and a half bus ride in the morning and a 2 hour bus ride home (meaning my day will be long..it might be 11 hours before I'm home again). Did I let any of that stop me from getting my workout done when I got home from work?! Hell no! I want results and I know I won't get them from not doing anything about it. I could've came home, showered and went right to bed but I'm tired of feeling tired & sluggish. This heat has been crazy! and I ran out of my Kangen water earlier this week cause I was out of town😤 Ever since I made the switch I only drink brand water if I have to, but I hate when I do because it always makes me feel bloated. It just sits in your stomach instead of your body absorbing it instantly. I can literally drink a bottle of this water and go run right after and get NO cramps. Another chocolate and peanut butter masterpiece that tastes like a chocolate milkshake, but it’s healthy! What’s better than that? 💁🏻 This chocolatey delight is full of protein, vitamins, minerals, and healthy carbohydrates to fuel you! In this smoothie I put: 6 ice cubes 1 frozen banana 1 handful spinach 1 scoop of Vega Chocolate and Greens protein 1 heaping spoonful of peanut butter And put in a lil almond milk ( I usually fill the blender with the ingredients and then pour the almond milk, filling it up to about 1/4 of the ingredients in the blender). Blend that bad boy up and enjoy my friends! Also add some granola on top, it makes it better😜😉 For the perfect creamy smoothie consistency: start by adding ice on the bottom, then the frozen ingredients, then your fresh fruit or veggies, then your powders. The harder frozen stuff goes on the bottom near the blade!

And #tbt to the first trip of this summer and only 7 lbs away but somehow I have given wayyyy too much power to those 7 lbs and it’s not like I have a perfect body with or without them so wtf?! Anyway. When I’m offering myself some compassion as I am today, I realized I’ve been traveling since June 11th and out of routine, not practicing and it’s no fucking wonder I kinda lost my shit for a minute. Speaking to my BFF on her birthday this morning I realized a victory or a win. I’ve always had body image issues and I’ve talked about it here before but I was an early bloomer (period at 11 years old) and curves at 11 or 12 were interpreted as fat, both internally and externally. So now at 44 that’s over 3 decades of body shaming myself and riding the roller coaster of weight fluctuations. So what’s the win I realized? In over 3 decades of these fluctuations they get shorter and shorter and the rabbit hole gets more shallow every time. I used to go down so deep I’d be punishing myself for months and crash dieting, dabbling in eating disorders and loathing myself for gaining weight after “feeling good” and today I’m practicing yoga, meditation and deep breaths to remind myself I don’t have to go there again, EVER again. You have tools and forgiveness and you are beautiful no matter what. I’m done with this conversation now because hey I don’t wanna bring anyone down but just wanted you guys to know I feel sooooo much better already today and reminding ourselves everything is temporary and no matter how far you go down a wrong path you can always turn back, and luckily I don’t go down as far as I used to. #selflove #takespractice #youarebeautiful #loveyourbody #loveyourself #selfcare #yogainspiration #yogamom #takecareofyourbody
