Putting our best feet forward! 👣
Tonight I had the absolute pleasure of meeting a fellow lymphie for dinner, Britta of lymphedemadiary.com! We've known each other online for a couple years but finally, officially met in person and just clicked right away. There were some teary moments, lots of laughter, and tons of relieved exclamations of "OMG, I FEEL THE SAME WAY!!" It's always amazing to me, the instant soul connection that happens when two lymphies meet. It's like you go through life feeling so different because of your lymphedema, like no one could possibly understand, and then - poof! - here is someone who gets it, and they're right in front of you, flat-knit compression and all. It's so special. All the good and the bad of life with lymphedema makes a little more sense when you're able to talk it through together.
Getting to know Britta beyond the computer screen was such a blast! (If you don't know of her already, Britta is an amazing lady and a great writer - check out her blog, give her a shout!) And if you know of any lymphies in your area, I highly recommend you make plans to grab a coffee or some dinner together soon. Elevate one another with that supportive lymphie fellowship! 🤝💙
We have a crazy week of work, field trips and travel so my workouts could have easily been tossed away this week. Plus, I’m getting a sore throat?! 🙄
Anyway, I got people to hold me accountable. I have a coach, I have challengers, I have babes that watch me. So tonight, I’m pressing play for me. For my challengers. For my kids. And damn, does it feel good.
Need extra support? My group is always open for you...just send me a message! 💕
Sadly this is only one of the many looks of a homeless person. With Winter here please support Barwon South West Homeless Network in helping keep the homeless warm, clean and feed this winter. www.theroadhome.net.au
This is really hard for me to do, you have NO idea, but I’m going to do it anyways! 😶
For the longest time, I have been so uncomfortable with my body. I hated everything about my body, literally! 🤢
I have narcolepsy, so I have very little energy to do just about anything! On the days I don’t work, I usually sleep most of the day. 💤
People with narcolepsy are more likely to become obese then someone without it. 🙀
I have always feared becoming one of those people but never actually did anything about it since I knew I wouldn’t even have the energy to do it! 🤷♀️ Last month I decided, “no more excuses, I’m doing this for me, I need to take a chance and make a change.” 🛑🔙🆙 About a month later, look at me now! 🤩
-Different mindset 🧠
-Gaining confidence 💁♀️
-Smashing that fear 🥊
If I can do it with the little energy that I have then so can you! 💪 🌟You ARE worth it! You CAN do it! 🌟 “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try!” 💖
MESSAGE ME IF YOU’RE READY TO TAKE THAT CHANCE AND MAKE A CHANGE! 💡
We WILL do it together! 🤝

Such a happy coincidence I am launching my site on International Yoga Day! SO EXCITED to share it with y’all!! On it, you’ll see my updated class schedule and private lesson information. It also houses my new blog, which I’m THRILLED to get started. The quote above is prominently displayed on the homepage, not only because it’s one of my favorites from Guruji, but because it helps me represent my biggest inspiration: My brother. Zach’s passion for music was awe inspiring. When he died I was completely lost. At the time I was a very casual practitioner, using my Power Yoga films from Target on and off for fitness. Despite this, the week Zach died I was almost immediately drawn to my mat. I just sat, eyes closed, breathing; for a few moments I felt alive again. As time passed and I grew in my grief journey I decided I wanted to help people; help them feel empowered, comfortable in their own skin and peaceful. I owe my sanity to Yoga. I am forever indebted to Guruji for his teachings, which I was gifted with by my teacher, Carlyn, as well as the rest of the Yoga teachers at SCC. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Joanne Cacciatore and Karla Helbert for their immense empathy and guidance; and to the rest of my warrior women from my time in the wilds of Sedona. To my family and friends who have supported me unconditionally, I cannot accurately relay the depth of my gratitude and love. Happy International Yoga Day!
