[Speedbumps & Setbacks]
They're going to happen rather you like it or not.
You got sick.
You injured yourself.
Your in-laws came to town and cooked for you and you have no idea what was in that casserole.
Your flight got delayed and you missed a workout.
You’re having a medical procedure done & the medications are effecting your energy levels.
Your workload is killing you right now and leaving you no time to get your cardio in.
You’re moving and you forgot which box you put your food scale in (hell just moving in general is a speed bump).
You’re so exhausted from all things in life that your cortisol levels have stalled fat loss.
And a lot of the time it happens out of your control.
But what you ARE in control of is how you respond.
You’re not going to be perfect because of all of the possible situations above, so the best thing you can do is make the best of each situation.
Focus on what you ARE in control of and crush it at those things.
Drink your water.
Work extra hard on the muscles that aren’t injured.
Cut back in calories the following day after a macro overage.
When you miss a workout, don’t take your next typical rest day off, or just tack on a couple extra exercises to your regular workouts.
Listen to your body and let it rest if it needs it.
Prioritize your life and cut out unnecessary events and tasks. There is only so much time in the day and you are only 1 person.
No weight loss or fitness journey doesn’t have a setback from time to time. Therefore spend less time whining about x situation, and more time figuring out how you can make the best of it.
You don’t have to be perfect, you just can’t give up.
