Transformation Monday? 😂 I am still trying to beat my parkrun PB of 27:40, but let's take a moment to remember where I started. I remember this parkrun being very fecking hard, Victoria parkrun in Leicester is a 3 lap course with a tiny but very long slope and I had walked up the hill twice so when I was on the last lap, I looked at my watch to see how crap I was doing but to my surprise I realised I was close to my PB I found an adrenaline boost and just bloody went for it 😂 probably didn't look like I was going fast but i felt like I was flying 😂 and wola! A PB was born. What a feeling it is! 2 seconds off 32 mins... A. Sumo Deadlift x 6 ➡️ Deadlift x Max (1-4) B. Front Squat x 6 ➡️ Back Squat with Eccentric Hooks x 1 + 3 Really enjoy the challenge of this style of programming and enjoy the strength gains even more!! @shredded_strength
Much reactions: “I thought you were vegetarian / vegan”. Yep I was.. for more than 1 year vegetarian and for 7 months 80% vegan. I really hadn’t problems following it and if it was without my health I would follow it for the rest of my life ☺️ It’s so good for nature and animals ♥️🐮 But... my health was getting worser and worser! PS. I knew how to be and live vegan so yes I tried everything!!!! Small explanation: every month I’ve been sick for the past year. my stomach (intestines) reacted very well but my immune system was so so so weak 😳 Every 3/4 weeks I was really sick!!! I lost weight, muscles and a lot of hair loss and the past 3 months were the worst. I hadn’t told you guys this before because I had to be sure this was the reason (for my body!) before I just talk bullshit. I’ve been to the doctor, tested blood, eat more things, took more supplements of things I could use more..... believe me I tried everything! 3 months ago I couldn’t go to the gym for 4 weeks because I was so weak! As you can read a lot of things were wrong 😔 But I just wanted to follow the vegan lifestyle so bad because I know it’s so good for nature. But after feeling my mental state was also getting worser I thought to myself... NO LISA! Your health is way more important than anything 😳 Just watch if eating animal protein will help and if not you tried it. Today. 1,5 month of eating animal protein (1 day meat, 1 day eggs & 1 day no animal protein) and I’ve got my power back and I haven’t been sick till this day. That’s new for me! I’m still not 100% sure if it’s really the animal protein but it’s strange that I feel great doing it?! Okay instead of I don’t like to eat meat... but I know that’s life! Thousands of years ago people were living that way too! 🙄 Maybe that’s why? And I will never ever going 100% back because doing it 50% is already something... if everyone would not use animal protein everyday (only 3/4 times a week) it will help a lot!!!! And I know I will get a lot of comments but believe me if I say I tried everything ☺️☺️ (only not eating soya based things because those are not healthy in my opinion) So that’s why girls... my story! What are the ideas that you hold inside that prevent you from moving forwards? . From my personal experience and as a coach, I’ve heard: “I don’t have time” “I don’t have the money” “I don’t have the genetics” “I don’t have the support” “I don’t have access to the right gym” “I don’t have access to the food” “I can’t do it without the right supplements” . I’ve learned that the only thing that remains consistent among people that achieve their goals, is that they are able to focus on what they CAN do. Conscious coaching 👏🏼 It’s more than just a qualification . I’ve seen and heard opinions about what allows you to call yourself a coach. Such as you can’t consider yourself a coach if you haven’t got the correct qualifications or certificates. I’m all for qualifications and certificates but I definitely don’t think they are the sole consideration. After all most people can get a piece of paper if they study hard enough. But can you actually apply what you’ve learnt...effectively?! . A coach is so much more than someone who has pieces of paper under their belt, who knows the anatomy back to front, who has the ability to write programs and deliver them. You can have all this but if you can’t connect with people and have the ability to create trust and buy in with your athletes then how effective is all of the above really going to be?! . In saying this I strongly believe in ongoing development as a coach/trainer. Getting one qualification and never continuing to learn from others in the industry’s isn’t ideal . To me there is no exact pre requisite to call yourself a coach. I also don’t think there is anything wrong with calling yourself a personal trainer. If you have the ability to apply your growing and ongoing knowledge and skills, to serve your clients and athletes at the highest level both physically and mentally, then call yourself whatever you want . But one key factor that can often be missing with or without the paper work is the ability to move others not only physically but psychologically and emotionally. Skills which are not to be underestimated.
