I’m a few years into my 30s and I’m trying to become healthier. My father didn’t stay healthy in his life, and it took a toll much earlier than expected. I don’t want that to happen to me, so I’ve taken up trying to be a runner. Stop here if you don’t want to read a fat caption.
At first I was just going out there to put a couple miles in and feel better, but after using the internet I’ve found videos and info I never thought would move me the way they did. From @billyyangfilms
Life in a Day video that made me feel some type of way, to his podcast with @clare_gallagher_runs
that opened my eyes to running with purpose and reason, to bingeing @dann_whitehead
vlogs and training videos, I feel a way about something that I haven’t felt in years. I’ve been motivated by my dad (who I wish could see me now), my girlfriend who is a #T1D
, a friend who ran Boston this year, people that run 100 miles at a time, and the stories I’ve read and watched. All of this motivates me to get up a little earlier, stretch a little longer, to go out and put in the best work I can, and to push my limits like I know the people that inspire me do everyday.
I can become healthier, I can become more fit, I can become a runner. (If you want to find me on Strava let me know.) #running #runner #everybodyrun #ciele #mempghisrunner #strava #stravarun #brooks #nike #cieleathletics
