Review: This movie gets a lot of hate but I'm just gonna say it, I really really love this movie, sure it has some missed opportunities but it's still a damn good time. First Off, the film captures the same feeling that I felt when I watched 'Empire Strikes Back' for the first time. The stakes are so high, the characters are so engaging and developed, the story is so smart and the overall film is just a fun sci-fi flick. The cast is again great, Daisy Ridley is again amazing as the film's lead 'Rey', she delves deeper into her character in the film and you really feel for her. John Boyega and Oscar Isaac are both great as 'Finn' and 'Poe', both characters are given a lot to do in this film and their characters like Rey are given some more depth. The new additions to the cast such as Laura Dern, Kelly Marie Tran and Benecio Del Toro are all good and fun to watch but I would've liked their characters to have more to do in this film. But other than that they were all excellent. The film's cinematography is amazing, this is probably the best looking Star Wars film to date, overall the film is beautifully shot. Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are given more screen time in this film and they really shine, This is probably their best performances as the characters 'Luke' and 'Leia', they are so great. The film's visual effects are amazing and there is also a great amount of practical effects in this film and it really works. The film introduces the creatures 'Porgs' and there is the right amount of them, they don't come off as annoying like the 'Ewoks' from 'Return Of The Jedi'. The film also perfectly references old entries from the Star Wars saga, the action sequences in this film are also fantastic.
In Conclusion, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is so amazing. It has heart, great characters, amazing VFX and some great cinematography.
