"Roessler's - Like No Other Restaurant. On our recent 33-day vacation in Sarasota, Florida, my wife and I dined at 33 different restaurants, one a day for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. The thing you have to know about Sarasota, despite a population of only 60,000, is it features a wealth of outstanding restaurants...American, French, Italian, fish, steak. Everything but pizza. One of the most unique and pleasurable dining options is Roessler's. Located on Vamo Way off Tamiami Trail south of downtown Sarasota, it has all the feel of dining at home. No neon signs. It has a luxurious atmosphere, like dining in a large home with several dining rooms, a bar, a gazebo and beautiful gardens. And plenty of parking. The restaurant was packed when we arrived but the hostess escorted us to our reserved table as if she had been expecting us all along. Our server, Jason, was equally efficient, not to mention personable and attentive despite having some busy tables to attend to. I ordered lobster bisque and an eight-ounce filet mignon with bordelaise. My wife opted for halibut, fresh and hard to get on many menus. For dessert, we shared a large piece of key lime pie. In Florida, key lime pie is a must and it's fun to compare one restaurant's version with another. At Roessler's, everything on the menu is a fun experience." Thank you, Taylor from Chicago, Illinois! .
