Sharks and turtles and seals..oh my!!! Spring has been epic thus far. 🦈🐢❤️ A little more rain for the garden, then looking forward to getting back in the 🌊🌊🌊🤙🏻👌🏻
We’ve had a solid 7gill season so far this year. Both males and females have been observed almost daily these last few weeks.
This shot was taken free-diving nearshore La Jolla this week. 🤙🏻🦈❤️ Such unique markings on these sharks, and that eye!
Some days you don’t see much...and some days you see this! 🤙🏻@underwaterpaparazzi @lorenzoragazzi
and I witnessed a harbor seal-sea turtle interaction. Well...more a harbor seal nibbling a sea turtle.
I learned sea turtles don’t like harbor seals very much. 😂😂😂🐢🌊
The return of the 7gills and tope sharks has me thinking back to the kelp glory days. This video, featuring a tope shark canopy cruising, was taken while snorkeling the La Jolla kelp beds with @underwaterpaparazzi
a few years back. 🌊🌿.
The kelp beds off La Jolla Cove were so much fun to explore pre-El Niño. The kelp is coming back slowly...I miss the thick canopy so close to shore. 🦈❤️🦈
Is my springing my handwritten 100 page "Why Snorks Are More Than Just Underwater Smurfs" essay more of a first or second date thing? #snorks #smurfs
Last-minute, post-work, pre-rain snorkel yielded some JAW-some shark action!
Decent viz and lots of 7gills
What big nostrils you have, greenie! 🐢
must return to the surface to breathe, but a resting or inactive sea turtle can “hold their breath” anywhere between 4 and 7 hours.

I went looking for 7gill sharks. Instead I received a free dome smush/inspection/cleaning from a local. Totally makes up for not finding a shark. 😂❤️👌🏻🌊
We spend most of our lives above the surface, imagine what you could find if you dove a little deeper...💙🦈🐢 Loving my new Meikon A6XXX Salted Series housing and dry dome! 📷
Do any of you 1980s babies remember the cartoon Snorks?! My husband was born the same year as me and has never heard of it!😲Did anyone else grow up in a cave like he apparently did?? Ps-yes there are episodes on YouTube! #snorks #1980scartoons
