The answer is changing my shoulder position! Congrats to those of you that answered correctly!
Many times with overhead squats and snatches athletes lose their shoulder position and the shoulder joint starts to roll forward, creating internal rotation. (1st 📷) This then requires the wrist to extend back more to try and keep the barbell overhead.
To fix this, stay more active through your shoulders. Think “reach up” and “break the bar” to promote more external rotation of the shoulder joint. (2nd 📷) It is a subtle difference but you can see my armpits more in this position. Your wrists will work less and will thank you later!

There’s always that temptation to do a little bit less each workout, to stop pushing yourself as hard as you used to, or just to skip that workout altogether. .

Let’s say that you’re undertaking a 30 or 60-day challenge to get in shape. .
Day 1, you start lifting weights and running, and you stick with your program for the first few days. You have no real program to follow, you just lift weights, run, and hope for the best.
By the end of the second week, you’re all but guaranteed to give up on that program. You have no way to know if you’re making progress, so there’s no reason to keep pushing yourself. There’s no record of what you’ve accomplished, where you came from, or what your goals are, so you’re just going through the motions.
This is why tracking your progress is so essential! .
If you’re tracking your progress, it’s much easier to keep pushing towards a goal. You’ll be able to see “I’ve completed 40% of my fitness goal in X-amount of time, so I have X-amount of work left to do.” It just makes it easier to stick with it!

Many gymnasts are inherently hypermobile which can sometimes cause pain from repetitive loading, especially when that loading is performed at the end range of a joints movement. Having strong and stable shoulders is extremely important to reduce the risk of injuries in a sport that demands so much out of the shoulders- like gymnastics.

Stop using an excessive range of motion during your rowing movements!
Exaggerating the range of motion is a common tendency for many lifters. When this is done repeatedly, that faulty movement negatively impacts shoulder health and muscle function.

The external rotators of the shoulder are among the most commonly ignored or missed muscles when generally strengthening the shoulder❗️ If they become weak your chance of injuring your shoulder or having shoulder pain increases significantly❗️💢 Try this exercise❗️ You’ll feel the 🔥
1️⃣ Staggered Feet
2️⃣ Shoulder blades squeezed together
3️⃣ Pulley/Band set slightly above waist height
1️⃣ Pull the band towards you while squeezing your shoulder blade and keeping your arm parallel to the ground
2️⃣ Rotate your hand up and back
3️⃣ Press towards the ceiling 🚫🚫Control the motion on the way down too and don’t arch your back to move that resistance!

Tip 4: WIGGLE THOSE TOES!
That’s right folks get those piggies wiggling. During travel and enforced sedentary activity you want to maximise your blood flow, keep joints active and keep that blood pumping! By wriggling your toes you will help that flow via muscular action and stop the pooling that can occur during flight. (As an added bonus, after 3 attempts of taking this video no one spoke to me he rest of the flight. Not what you would call a crowd pleaser!) Small steps towards a healthier and more active life are all that we need to begin. Start with 60 seconds of wiggling your toes and then anything else is a bonus. This can of course be done at home on the sofa, on a park bench, at the movies or during one of Dave’s long rants about posture.

Often times we get asked about the very first visit to a chiropractor. Today we would like to explain in more details what can you expect and what you need to be prepared for.
Before you see the doctor of chiropractic, you will be asked you to fill in a medical form about your present and past health conditions, including your main problem.
