This is going to be long but I must share. .
The title is deceiving, well for me it was. The past month I have been doing a reset to cleanse my body, soul and mind. I am sure you saw my posts about veggies while the hubby ate meat. I have had amazing results (mostly about myself and the lies I whisper to me). .
Tuesday was my last day and I planned and still do to do the weeks in reverse and find out what fuels my body and what tears me down. Last night, Bug graduated from preschool. Her school had a marvelous graduation and reception at the end. .
My mentality, one piece of cake won't kill me I won't even eat the icing. Almost immediately, a headache rolled in and I became nasty and short with everyone. Two hours after I went to bed, I woke up freezing and with violent shivers that were rocking my entire body. I could not move. My first thought was, well I'm sick. My second thought was "isnt this how God talks to you because you are too stubborn to listen to his pleasant cues of guidance.
As I lay in bed trying not to bite my tongue I started to prayer. I tried not to ask for Him to take it away but to help me see to help me grow. Yes I snuck in a few begs but tried to ask for guidance. .
What popped in to my mind was (please forgive me if I have this wrong but my 5 year old know more about the bible than I do) was the wife that looked back and the city being destroyed and turned to stone then salt. I saw how my body was stiff like a statue and could feel everything tighten especially my chest and heart. .
I forced myself to remember as much as I could about that story and quiet my soul and I began to relax. I did go back to sleep and minus a massive headache, I feel whole again. .
I could not fall back to sleep because the words for this post kept running through my head and thank you for reading all the way to the end. This isnt about eating sweets or losing weight or being fit, this is about fueling our bodies so we can serve God to our fullest. .
To a new day, where all I am is His and I glorify what he is so graciously sharing with me. May I always honor it and be a better listener. .

I'm definitely not always motivated to eat well and this is by no means always easy. I definitely still want pizza and cheeseburgers and omg do I want cake
But making healthy food for the kid, great support from the ladies in our group, and support from my partner always help so much. .
No one's perfect, but it gets easier on groups and there are always openings for anyone to join and change your freaking life❤❤

As a DJ, I never really needed an image to enhance who I am as DJ DOMEWRECKA .. don't need a hat, face paint, cultural garb, flashing lights , schmoozing with celebrities or big talk. Now mind you, there are plenty of people who are very successful that way and I really can't knock them, but some of those thing are just masking their shortcomings. Me? Love this pic because it shows how happy Haz is! He loves watching me workout and I love both boys watching me do so (as distracting as it is) as I believe it sets a good example! I’m a big advocate of kids being/playing outside! There’s far too many kids these days glued to technology and I refuse to let that happen to my boys!

Banana split for breakfast? Don’t mind if I do. Literally you guys some nonfat plain Greek yogurt, strawberry superfoods powder (you could use any type of protein powder or similar), some crushed pineapple (with a little juice), half a banana, and a few Cheerios for some crunch. BAM! Banana Split Healthy AF!!

Our “nanny” dog kept our baby distracted for 25 out of our 30 minute workout... & then Amelia went from perfectly content to SCREAMING!
We paused the workout after the pacifier didn’t “pacify her” 😂, I nursed her a little while Bret finished the workout & then I went back to it after I was done. 💪🏼 I could’ve easily said “screw it” and just skipped the last circuit, but I’m no quitter! Amelia is my REASON to be healthy, and definitely not my EXCUSE to quit when the going gets tough!!!! DAY 8/21 ✔️ P.S. can we all take a moment to appreciate how ADORABLE these two are? They are gunna be BFFs for sure 😍

MOVE YOUR BODY!
There are many benefits to working out. Did you know a boost of energy is one of them?! If you want to feel good, EXERCISE! You do not have to hit the gym or do some hardcore workout everyday. Sometimes exercise looks like this. Running around and playing with your kids!
So for Mother’s Day I asked to start some plants of either a fruit or vegetable to try and cut some costs. I chose spinach because I use it the most (in my shakes daily cuz it’s extra veggies that I don’t have to actually eat). So we planted them that day and today I went to check them to see if they needed water and everything and I see a cute little green thing sticking up. I was so excited and proud. I’ve never been able to grow anything in my life. This is a huge deal. Hopefully this is a sign of new beginnings and huge growth coming soon!

yes. It’s far from perfect. But I was distracted by the cutest little boy during my session.
Feels amazing to notice the changes my body has progressed the last few weeks. Feels more amazing watching my kiddos attempt everything that I’m doing.
My kids don’t know my inner struggle and how my ultimate goal is to loose weight. They see Mommy working to be healthier. That makes them want to be healthier. That’s what matters to me in the end. Our family living happy and healthier together, making lasting memories.

Yesterday was tough. After realizing i had recently gained 10lbs due to this stinking medicine and not anything i was doing differently, i felt VERY discouraged. I’ve decided to discontinue the medicine (safely), but i still found myself struggling to make good decisions regarding food. I was stuck in the mindset of, “screw it. It obviously doesn’t matter.” NOT GOOD! NOT TRUE!
This morning i woke up with my head in a better place. I’m sticking with my workouts pushing as hard as i can because I want to be strong. I’m sticking with my nutrition because i need to properly fuel my body to feel good and minimize the weight gain I can’t control.
