Good morning beautiful friends 🌞🤗❤️ Affirmation from Louise Hay -
"My body takes me everywhere, easily and effortlessly." As I approach the afternoon of life (Wayne Dyer), I'm learning a lot about myself and self care. The last few years have been a bit of a roller coaster from a health perspective, fit, not so fit, nutrition on point and not so on point, mentally, sometimes great and other times, eh. Emotionally, from amazing highs to painful lows.
What I've learned is that it's ok. Every experience is necessary for my continued growth. I've learned I don't have to please everyone. I've learned where I need to learn more about myself (listen to hear not respond-😊). I have one body, one vessel to carry me through this physical life and it also houses and holds onto all the mental, emotional, physical and nutritional ups and downs. And I am grateful for the strength and resiliency it has shown.
So, while it hasn't always been effortless and easy, I'm learning about the balance it takes in many areas to keep myself healthy and thriving.
Be grateful. Be kind. Love your body (it's the only one we get). Love ❤️ and hugs 🤗
We will try to always carry foods that support and promote self-care. We believe that in order to Do Good for anyone (our children, our spouses, friends, family, coworkers, neighbors or strangers), we must LIVE WELL and take care of ourselves. Pamper ourselves. Love on ourselves. The items in this photo are handmade neck wraps to relieve neck, head and shoulder pain. They are filled with dry lentils and can be kept cold and heated up. I personally have suffered with headaches most of my adult life and relied on medication to feel better. However, these neck wraps have been a game changer for me. They are very soothing and address my head and neck pain. Woman-made in Austin, TX! And, she makes matching migraine masks. Bathroom goals from farmer and believer @saraparsons :
Being trained as a Conflict Intervention Specialist, legal Court Mandator, and Mental Health Associate this week has me just wiped when I get home.
What do they keep telling us to do when we get home?
Something for us.
Something that feeds our souls and honestly relaxes us.
For me it’s reading.
Watching pretty people doing silly things.
Or taking a bath.
Church this weekend to give it all to God with my new community @willowcreekcc .
For some of my colleagues it’s cooking,
One guy cleans his guns because he’s a hunter and that grounds him,
One woman went to a downtempo DJ show.
It’s different for all of us, and all of that is right, for that person.
How do you unwind?
Let the stress out?
It doesn’t always have to look like the pretty pictures on the wellness sites(aka here also).
Do it for you.
Not because someone is telling you what your “wellness” is.
This may look like my self care,
It may not be yours.

I've started to use fresh aloe vera gel on my skin daily since a few months ago and I love it enormously. It's so easy to find fresh aloe vera plant here in Costa Rica. I buy it once a week at the farmers market. And it's cheap too. The reason why I love using fresh aloe is that it's a real miracle herbal remedy for your skin. It's helpful for any skin condition. It nourishes and protects your skin at the same time and in a gentle way. Aloe vera is probably most known for its cooling and soothing properties. And is, therefore, the perfect remedy for the sunburned skin. But Aloe Vera gel has many more beneficial properties for the skin such as: It's wound healing and it reduces inflammation. It stimulates the growth of new cells and helps your skin heal faster. It's a natural moisturizer that keeps your skin hydrated and soft without clogging your pores. (Great for acne prone and oily skin). It's a natural astringent and reduces pore size. It's also antibacterial and antiseptic properties. These will help your skin keep out bacteria and other pathogens and stay healthy. Aloe is also rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins such as vitamin A, C, E and beta-carotene. These vitamins help to keep your skin healthy, beautiful and firm. (Less fine lines and wrinkles). If you want radiant glowing skin start to drink Aloe vera regularly. Skin health always starts on the inside so remember to nourish your body from the inside out firsthand. Because a healthy nourished body will result in a healthy radiant skin.Taking Aloe Vera internally will also improve digestion. And gut health is very connected with skin health. As you can see Aloe Vera truly is a miracle plant and suitable for any skin condition. You'd definitively give it a try if you haven't already done it. You'll love it.
