🎉DISCHARGED!!!!🎉 Bloody hell this has been the longest, hardest, most scary year of my life.
Completely overwhelmed with the pure kindness and thoughtfulness of my girlies. (Yes, dory is there, to remind me to just keep swimming!) There’s no way I would have got through this without you. You are all incredible and I believe in every single one of you. Thank you all so much for being there when I needed it most.
Also, big thank you to the nurses and HCA’s at rd&e who sat with me, cried with me and held me while supplement was being pushed down the tube. A big thank you to the incredible staff at my psych ward. I always knew they were amazing, but have even more respect for them since I was moved to London. They stuck by me through my most vulnerable times. A big thank you to the 4 or 5 staff in London who seemed to run the whole ward and for working in such tough conditions. I’ve met such lovely people along the way.
A huge thank you to those of you back at home who have kept in touch and sent your love. It’s been so uplifting to know I haven’t been forgotten when I was whisked off in an ambo last year! And to my wonderful family. I don’t know what to say. They’re the ones I’ve been fighting for and have given me the motivation to get out. When certain services gave up on me, they didn’t. In particular, my auntie and cousins, Becca you were my lifeline in London coming to see me every week when I wasn’t allowed out, Granny carol and my wonderful Mum, Dad and lil Bro.
I’m now living in supported housing in Exeter preparing for some pretty intensive treatment. I’m so happy to be closer to home and to have more freedom.
THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me.
Keep fighting girls, and remember to just keep swimming 🐠♥️ #discharged #inpatient #section #hospital #mentalillness #justkeepswimming #thankyou
