I'm so thankful that my culture shock lifted here in Japan! Being here in Japan wasn't my first time travelling in a foreign language or as a racial minority (I was in East Africa for a summer and have visited North Africa several times, always for 6-8 weeks at a time), so I can't quite figure out what took me by storm. We've often travelled to places where we speak the language (French), or English is prevalent (Scandinavian countries, Iceland, Western Europe) and those which resemble home a bit more than Japan. Have you ever experienced culture shock? I'd love your thoughts! ⛩️🇯🇵

than finding the key
that unlocks every part
of our soul.

Let the adventure begin!! Hello USA!! 🇺🇸
Imagine having this at your backyard 😍🇮🇸
🙌🏻 I know that I personally get itchy feet when it comes to feeling stagnant. I love change. That’s why there is nothing more exciting than having a holiday plan in motion!! Travel is a chance to explore, experience and immerse oneself completely in an adventure. It’s surprising what you can learn about yourself 💁🏼 Bring on August 🌏😊 @___tryst___
Road trip! The setting off picture in which we all look slightly demented and I’m smiling because I’ve had my cocktail of berocca and paracetamol 🤣 let’s see if I’m smiling after two hours in the car with these crazies 😍
** I’m so used to leaving. Traveling.
Place to place, collecting.
I think it’s time I learn how to stay.
So plant my roots in your overgrown
front yard, and I’ll be a sunflower
amongst the weeds, for you to look at
