My to do list for our house is more like a to do book (literally- I have a notebook with a page of tasks per room that still need doing, plus pages of future plans that we don't have the funds for right now). But I'm feeling very proud of myself that there's one job I can tick off.
I set myself the challenge of getting my sewing machine out this week when I was off with the kids for half term so I could sew some new header tape onto some vintage barkcloth curtains I recently bought from eBay.
Finally managed to claw out an hour while the twins were distracted watching Moana for the 20th time (you're welcome!) and get the curtains sorted and hung in the lounge. They're a bit of a statement but I love them!
Only slight hitch is that the fabric still seems a bit fusty. Any vintage aficionados out there got any top tips on how to eradicate vintage smells from fabric?
