good morning!! today I had an appointment with the mental doctor and they did not weigh me down ๐Ÿ˜ฐ I was very scared about that, but tomorrow I have a psychologist and I may be weighed that day ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… They said that I improved a little during this time, and that I should increase my calories, which scares me a little and I have to eat 6 times a day ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ please support me ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š today I had little time for breakfast so I had yogurt with a little cereal and a cup of cappuccino, but I could not take it because it was not enough ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“ after the appointment with my doctor, I took courage and had #morningsnack 2 chocolate "frac" cookies and a cup of vanilla capuccino. My body image insecurities started very young. Between the abuse I endured and the 6 sisters to compare to + no guidance for how to love who I was, I fell into one mindset after another that set me up for destructive behavior. Often times we do our best to morph our bodies and faces into what we believe looks โ€œbetterโ€. This idea that to wear a bra, paint the face, and heighten the body to elongate the legs to seem more attractive or confident is not supportive of positive evolution, much less personal development. Yet, just about all of us sign up for this daily life. It took me losing my dad to shatter this part of my ego, completely, so that I may see which pieces still work for me โ€” and which do not anymore. Life is so different for me, now. My beautiful soulmate and me believe I actually look better with #nomakeup or heals - and he certainly doesnโ€™t mind #nobra ๐Ÿ˜ But whats more important than my partnerโ€™s love of this body, this vessel, is the acceptance of who I am as a whole ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป _________________________________________ Everyday I continue to work towards the love of this vessel that pains me & limits me - so as to teach me how to evolve my mind and soul. We are STUCK in the airport. Yesterday our flight was been delayed several times, cancelled, rescheduled for 8am this morning and now delayed again for later today. I miss my dogs, I want to work (and workout) and I am just READY TO BE HOME. Although this weekend was AMAZING, this situation is making me very stressed and anxious. This is seriously the PERFECT opportunity to break out my favorite ANXIETY & STRESS relieving technique 478 Breathing! Here's how to do it Set Up: If time and space permits, the following exercise is best done when you are able to sit and relax in a quiet place, but it can be done ANYWHERE! Sit upright with a straight back. Place the tip of your tongue against the ridge of tissue just behind your upper front teeth, and keep it there through the entire exercise. Exhale completely through your mouth, allowing it to be audible (donโ€™t be shy). Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four. Hold your breath for a count of seven. Exhale completely out of your mouth, giving it sound to a count of eight. This is one breath. Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths. Note: always inhale quietly through your nose and exhale audibly through your mouth. The amount of time you spend on each phase is not important; the ratio of 4:7:8 is what matters. If you have trouble holding your breath, speed the exercise up but keep to the ratio of 4:7:8 for the three steps. With practice you can slow it all down and get used breathing more deeply. Lunch today was my usual ham, dairylea cheese ๐Ÿง€ spread triangle, cucumber and lettuce sandwich followed by cheese and onion flavour French fries crisps and an unpictured vanilla flavour activia yoghurt. - Needless to say I didnโ€™t challenge having mayonnaise today. Some days just having safe foods is a challenge and thatโ€™s okay. Itโ€™s part of recovery and as long as you face up to those challenges you are still making progress. I did however challenge myself a bit by using a different plate to usual! Hiking gives me so much more than a chance to be outdoors, it gives me confidence, peace, and a sense of accomplishment. However, I also took time to cook a few staple items in bulk and create a schedule of the gym classes I wanted to try out. Not to mention, I went to bed a little earlier to ensure a good nightโ€™s rest. โ € .โ € Focusing on the little things you can do to support your physical, mental, and emotional health during the weekend, can help strengthen your mindful and healthful intentions throughout the week, particularly around your nourishment and movement. I am so very grateful that I get to witness this little brood make their way down our canal. In the beginning, momma has about 12 chicks chirping and paddling by her side. Within weeks, her little peeps dwindle down to just a few. And then, silence. Iโ€™m seeing my main therapist for the first time in months today, as she went off sick. This will be the last time though as my CPN told me sheโ€™s changed jobs in the meantime. Iโ€™m actually fine about it because I feel Iโ€™ve come on so much more with Charmaine in the last few months than Iโ€™ve ever done before. Iโ€™ve been challenging my BDD constantly and in the process of that, also my core belief system. Iโ€™ve got a long way to go, and some days I feel like Iโ€™m back to the beginning again, but then I remind myself of where I was a year ago and Iโ€™m able to see the truth. I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™ll ever be able to see myself differently, but hopefully I will get to the point where I can accept myself. And my hope then is that it will help me conquer my eating disorder once and for all. Never give up guys, however defeated you might feel some days. Because each day that you pick yourself back up is another day you grow even stronger. Iโ€™d rather focus on being happy to see someone than what they look like. . So today I failed the first exam I've had in a couple of years. I found it hard to study yesterday and even harder to focus this past week. We've been putting together furniture all week long and my eating habits preoccupy a big part of my thoughts. So maybe it just wasn't the right time for me. That's okay.
