🔥FOOD PORN AND THINGS TO THINK ABOUT?🔥 - 🥗Sorry this photo is not as “beautiful” to look at as other previous posts might have been. In my defence, it is hard to make a beetroot and mushroom salad look great, or maybe I’m just a crappy photographer! - 🥒With that all said, what I have found by starting to include much more vegetarian dishes in my life, is, I am coming across a HUGE variety of salads that I would never have thought of in the past. - 🌽I would usually stick to your standard garden or greek salad with the occasional caesar salad if I was feeling adventurous. Putting some fried mushrooms, garlic, spanish onion and herbs in with roasted beetroot, would NOT be something I would have thought of, that’s for sure! - 🥑That is exactly what this salad was though and WOW... was it delicious!!!! - 🥦I am looking forward to experimenting even more next week and trying a number of varied salads to accompany my meals or to just have on their own as a quick snack. - 🥝If you have any salad ideas you can throw my way, please do, as I would love to try them. Our family LOVES salads - always have, even before switching to a #Vegan lifestyle. There is something so exciting about trying different renditions of salad!! This is one of my favorites in a while. Hubby took me out on a nice date for my birthday☺ We stuck to our healthy eating plan, passing on bread pre dinner. I had chicken fajitas but skipped the tortilla shells and sour cream and we skipped dessert! Lunch whole 30 day 19. 👍☀️It’s hard to find compliant lunch meats. The roast beef and prosciutto are applegate which I actually got from grocery outlet! This are super clean and free from all junk. Grocery outlet carries really good organic and whole 30 compliant stuff. You just have to dig around. Their stock rotates every week so it’s fun to see what you will find. Seafood is something I don't eat nearly as often as I should. A good quality, oily fish is super healthy and great to get in the diet at least once a week. I bought some wild pink salmon fillets frozen when they were on sale. They thaw out super quick and are fantastic pan-blackened. This is a great recipe to #mealprep on the weekend and serve cold. Homemade tortillas are very quick once you get the hang of it without all the additives of store bought too. Growing up, my mom always made homemade pizzas on Friday nights. Neighbor kids would come in and eat because she always made the best pizzas. Maybe that’s where my love for pizza comes from? Felicidade é abrir uma berinjela e ela não vir com um brinde dentro 🍆🐛😂 Leketes já sabem: Ô coisa rápida de preparar que é esta tal de berinjela, né gente? Só lavar, cortar as prontas e levar ao microondas por 6 minutos. Depois é só cortar ao meio (no sentido do comprimento), regar com azeite, salpicar sal, amassar um pouco a poupa, e rechear com aquela carne moída esperta que temos sempre pronta no freezer, congelada em porções individuais. Post workout smoothie bowls 💜 This morning’s class at the gym was such a good workout that it was only right to follow that up with a good, nutrient dense brunch. For my smoothie bowl I used @littleislandnz coconut milk, @cathedralcovenaturals coconut yoghurt, @ceresorganics LSA, @twoislandsco coconut pea protein, @adashiko Ultra collagen, @oob.organic berry & beetroot smoothie mix and @thekefircompany watermelon kefir. I used @cleanpaleoco grain free cereal & frozen berries to finish off and voila, smoothie bowl of bliss! Quick post about this easy peasy dinner! I like to call them egg cups and they're a super easy alternative to omelets! Basically, it's scrambled eggs baked in a well buttered muffin tin to make little personal cups. You can add just about anything in them that you would like--endless veggie or breakfast meat options! These had red peppers, mushrooms and a bit of cheese and were delicious! Such a great option for those "I have no idea what we're having for dinner" nights.
