Granola is absolutely one of the best and easiest things to include our Collagen Peptides in. This Blueberry Almond Butter Grain-Free Granola takes that to the next level 😊. INGREDIENTS -2 cups almonds I used 1 cup chopped and 1 cup sliced -1 cup walnuts roughly chopped -1 cup coconut flakes -2 tablespoons chia seeds -1/3 cup maple syrup -¼ cup coconut oil melted -¼ cup creamy almond butter -1 tablespoon vanilla extract -2 teaspoons cinnamon -½ teaspoon kosher salt -1 cup dried blueberries -1 scoop of @weareorganisource Collagen Peptides . INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat the oven to 300ºF and line a baking sheet (or 2, if they're smaller) with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, mix together the almonds, walnuts, coconut flakes, and chia seeds. 3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Collagen Peptides, coconut oil, almond butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and kosher salt. 4. coated. Spread the granola mixture into an even layer on the prepared baking sheet(s). 5. Bake for 50 minutes to an hour, turning the pan every 20 minutes and mixing to ensure it doesn't burn. 6. Remove from the oven and press down slightly to help form clusters, and then let cool completely without disturbing to help the clumps form. Once cooled, toss in the dried blueberries. 7. Store in a sealed container or bag at room temperature for about a month, or in the refrigerator or freezer for longer.

Stay in a slight surplus, eat enough protein, aim for progression, and do more work gradually over time. When the goal shifts into fat loss, only a handful of things will change. _ Calorie Deficit: if we want to lose fat, we must be in a negative energy balance, meaning we’ll have to consume less calories than we’re burning. _ Protein Intake: The science is pretty clear that we don’t need as much protein as we once thought (0.8-1g/ lb will suffice)…but here’s the kicker: a study conducted by AUT University concluded that energy-restricted athletes will need a bit more. The consensus is that somewhere around 1-1.4g per pound of fat free mass is necessary to maintain muscle tissue when dieting. _ Lift Heavy: Decreasing intensity while in a caloric deficit is the fastest way to end up skinny and weak. The reason for this is simple: if we train with light weight for an extended period of time, we lose the strength and size adaptations we worked so hard for. We can (and should) reduce volume, but never intensity. The best way to maintain strength is to train as heavy as you did to develop it. The better we do at maintaining strength, the more muscle we can retain. _ Low Volume: Fact is, we only require a fraction of the training it took to build a muscle, to maintain it, and anything else is just unnecessary stress placed on the body that could impair recovery, further. Bottom Line: Training volume can and should be decreased when dieting. If you’re currently doing 5 sets of squats, cut that down to 3 sets when dieting and so forth.
