Starting another round of mag/ort. This time I modified it slightly by dropping the intensity but adding a rep and an additional set to each set. Works out to 5x5, 2x3, 2x3 8+. It's going to suck but higher rep work is the only thing that adds pounds to my deadlift, no matter how much I hate it. Still working out some kinks but right now it is brutal. First and second video are 355x5 sets first and last respectively. Then one of my 440x3 sets and last my failure set. Hit 9 on failure just took forever because of bitch hands. Didn't have a ton to eat since I was working all day and can't exactly bring a lunch with me on my electrical job. 💡 Did you have a shoulder injury? Are you having trouble reintroducing overhead movements? Check out these three progressions that can help you ease back into your normal routine. . ✔ The first exercise we have is simple, we are pushing our hands into the wall and then hinging at our hips while dropping our chest to the floor. This helps to take stress off of the shoulders since the movement is occurring more proximally. Pushing against the wall helps to stabilize the shoulder(makes it a closed-kinetic chain). What I like about this exercise is that it doubles as a t-spine mobility drill! . ✔ The second exercise is a pushup to downward facing dog. This is a little more difficult because you have to support more weight through your shoulders. If you want to challenge yourself more, take a step back and lean into more shoulder flexion. . ✔ The last exercise is one of my favorite pushing exercises to do which is the landmine press. This little rig allows us to load our shoulders through a limited range of motion. We can progress this like the other exercise by leaning into the barbell.
