'The universe doesn't giving a flying fuck about you.' - The best book I ever read.
A tough week in the books. Battling illness, all the while maintaining business, training and generally just life. Im not complaining believe me, the world is already filled with enough complainers and mediocre people. Weeks like this are what I like to call 'character building.' What Im showing you here is the grind. The proverbial valley because 90% of the time thats what life is, a big fat grind.
Social media gives you and everybody around you an obscured sense of reality. According to social media everybody is having a fucking amazing time. Well its utter bullshit. Im all for high moments and celebrating your 'wins' but this notion that everyday is meant to filled with happiness and joy is totally farcical and unrealistic. The valley is where most of you are at and you know it. The peaks are few and sometimes very far between.
Turkish Get-Up. Working on mobility, stability, strength and prehab all at the same time.
Dying during 18.1 last night. Who’s soul was crushed when they looked at the clock and realized that there was 12 minutes left 😂😂. All in all this was not my best performance, as endurance events are not my thing. But I am very happy to say that I was able to RX an open workout doing CrossFit for less than 1 year
The race that stops the nation has returned! Its been 5 years since I have ran the Stawell Gift. Too long. Come down for a weekend of great sprinting and fresh country air! Should I create HISTORY again? 😏💜 @stawellgift

Amid the discussion of truly remarkable innovators, NYU professor and author, Melissa Schilling [Twitter: @mschilli1
] shares the following: If you want to see real success, you have to allow someone to struggle. Whether you're a parent, a coach, a mentor, or teacher, remember that if there is ANY CHANCE a person can successfully complete a task on their own - you MUST allow them the opportunity to do it themselves. Through Melissa's studies she's discovered that some of the greatest minds in innovation have had just the right amount of encouragement but very little hand holding. Learn why these movers and shakers are so much better than you and I by comparison...AND how to emulate their character traits to suck less in your own life. Listen NOW!

Hence the reason we always tell our athletes, “You don’t play your sport to get in shape, you get in shape to play your sport.”
