There has been as much criticism as positivity after the Poshmark milestone announcement and letter today. I was only online for about 5 minutes before I had to put my phone down and get some air y’all. I can’t even. I have been an online reseller since 2006, twelve years! In that time I have also owned three brick and mortar businesses. Some folks just don’t know how good they’ve got it. Someday I’m going to be able to tell my future grandchildren that I was alive before this thing called internet existed. (Oh yea I am really showing my age now!) Just be glad that you’re not hustling and grinding door to door trying to flip encyclopedias 😂 (oh yea that was a thing!) I’m not trying to be cliche’ here, but Poshmark is honestly one of the best platforms out there. ALL businesses have to make money. Some people are talking as if they want Poshmark to be three steps away from bankruptcy and then they’ll be happy. Don’t they understand their closet goes down with the ship?! 🤦♀️ On the other hand if the platform grows, so does your business! Yea sure, there are other platforms out there and you’re free to go ahead on and find one you like better Felicia, but there will always be a cost to doing business. Always. 20% is quite reasonable! Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with constructive criticism, truth, and new ideas. Especially when they are expressed intelligently. The platform needs sellers, and as such we have a voice. We are very fortunate that the CEO not only invites suggestions but actually considers them, and implements them. You can’t please everyone, if you’ve been reselling longer than 5 minutes, you already know this. That means you too. Roll with it, and be grateful, or there’s always encyclopedias. Good luck with that.
