👍🏻6 COOL THINGS ABOUT PROTEIN 👍🏻⠀
1️⃣It’s the most filling out of all the macronutrients for me that's reason enough to make sure you’re getting enough⠀
2️⃣ Protein contains amino acids which are the building blocks of your muscles (& actually your whole body, I always imagine myself being made out of Lego 💁🏼♀️) when you’re dieting it becomes even more essential to help prevent the breakdown of muscle tissue⠀
3️⃣Protein alongside other nutrients & rest are vital to ensure that you’re muscles can repair themselves post training. Without enough that repair job is going to be pretty shoddy⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4️⃣Protein is a ‘task master ‘so it does place bigger demands on your body during digestion. This means that it does use more calories than carbs or fat but please don't misinterpret this as you can eat as much protein as you want. If you ate enough protein to take you into a consistent calorie surplus you would gain weight⠀
5️⃣It is seriously involved in many other bodily functions & it really does matter for overall health⠀
6️⃣Protein can be found in such an array of sources there is 100 percent something for everyone you just got to find what works for you💥In conclusion don’t shortchange yourself by not getting enough protein.⠀
