In this study, close to 300 male amateur soccer players were allocated to an intervention or control group. The intervention group performed 25 sessions of Nordic hamstring exercises (NHE) over a 13-week period. Compliance with the intervention was excellent. . Both groups were followed for hamstring injury incidence and severity for the next calendar year. . . The number of hamstring injury incidences were significantly less in the intervention group vs control group. No significant differences were identified regarding severity. . . Primary takeaway here is that building eccentric hamstring strength through knee flexion exercise reduces hamstring injury risk significantly. Athletes in sports that require high speed running (such as soccer, football, basketball, rugby, track and field etc...) should incorporate these types of exercises to their training. . . It also allows a greater range of movement in which you can load the back and hamstrings. . Clearly you shouldn’t load heavy and be lifting the same weights you would in a normal RDL or deadlift but an argument could be made for low intensity loading through spinal flexion. However, there are also obviously many risks in such a position (is it safe? Potentially effects on IV disc...) . Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions! My leg length isn’t the same as your leg length. Shit, MY own 2 hips might not even be the same. - We’ve seen this toes forward mentality before. We’ve seen people get put into positions not built for them and manifest symptoms elsewhere. We’ve changed their position to comfort and seen improvements in performance along with decreased symptoms. Do we really need to go down this road again? - Stop. Challenge ideas. Buenas noches a tod@s, bueno varios me habéis pedido hablar sobre este tema, vamos a ello 💪🏻 tengo montados varios post con información que quizás os sea útil y me falta montar uno sobre ejercicios terapéuticos, pero no nos liamos mas: . . ✅A grandes rasgos es una degeneración del cartílago de la superficie articular de la rótula. ✅SINTOMATOLOGÍA: crepitación al bajar y subir escaleras (más normal al bajar), dolor en la parte externa de la rótula y necesidad de extender la pierna cuando el paciente lleva mucho tiempo sentado, ya que nota una presión en la rodilla que al estirarse se alivia. . . ✅Vamos a buscar un poco el origen de dicha patología: ✳️Valgo aumentado. ✳️Ángulo Q aumentado (FOTO 2). ✳️Factores relacionados con el mal funcionamiento: normalmente se suele achacar a una debilidad del basto interno del cuadriceps que permite ir a la rótula hacia externo por lo tanto ese desgaste. Pero esto normalmente ¿por qué ocurre?, ya que sucede tanto en gente que deportista como no deportista, y al final nos preguntamos ¿cómo un deportista puede tener debilidad en el basto interno?. (En el siguiente post indagaremos a fondo). ✳️Factores viscerales: cuando alguien acude a la consulta por un tema así, quiere que le toques la rodilla. Por supuesto que hay que realizar un tratamiento en esa zona, pero siempre hay que indagar un poquito más. En algunos casos puede tener una estrecha relación con patología del intestino delgado (alteraciones, no enfermedades, normalmente). There’s some wiggle room here depending on how long your arms are, but the more you can stack your elbows over your wrists and create a vertical forearm, the more force you’ll be able to put down into the ground, and the stronger your pushup will be! - Sometimes this can be difficult to Achieve (no pun intended, but totally intended) when starting from the top of the pushup. Abelhas de polinização A polinização é a transferência do pólen (gameta masculino) da estrutura reprodutiva masculina de uma flor (antera) para a estrutura reprodutiva feminina (estigma) da mesma flor ou de outras flores da mesma espécie. Dessa forma, o gameta masculino alcança o gameta feminino (óvulo) e o fecunda. Este processo permite a formação de frutos e sementes que, futuramente, produzirão uma nova planta. Em alguns casos, como o milho, trigo e arroz, o pólen é transportado pelo vento. Outros agentes polinizadores são a água (em certas plantas aquáticas) e a gravidade. Porém, em cerca de 80% de todas as plantas com flores, alguns animais são os responsáveis pela polinização. Na grande maioria dos casos, entre os animais polinizadores, nenhum é mais eficiente do que a abelha. Graças ao seu trabalho de coleta de pólen e néctar, voando de flor em flor, as abelhas polinizam as flores e promovem a sua reprodução cruzada. Além de permitir a reprodução das plantas, esse trabalho também resulta na produção de frutos de melhor qualidade e maior número de sementes.
