Commission request I finished last week. Mikey Mouse as Rorschach from Watchmen. My biggest struggle was which character to show more of. My intial sketches easily went to much Mickey or to much Rorschach but I found a happy medium here.
Filmed a lapse of the inks and will post finished later this week ✏👍👍

Easter Island: Once a thriving civilization that had unwavering faith. In times of desperation the people would carve giant Moai sculptures from the solidified volcanic ash of Rano Raraku volcano and transport these sculptures to the seaside as an offering. The transportation method was by rolling the giant Moai along a path of logs placed parallel to each other. These logs were cut from their forests; which, ultimately became the primary catalyst for their demise. Deforestation lead to the subsequent starvation of flora and fauna; which in turn, caused their island environment to become uninhabitable due to food loss.
It is believed that worldwide consumption of oil has reached its peak and the unrenewable resource is on a slow decline. I often wonder about our oil dependant civilization when it runs out.
