Looking for a new coffee table book? ☕️🍁 I’m so thankful to have been able to contribute to this book in whatever capacity I could. Huge shoutout to @alannaisabelle and @kimothyw for approaching me with this extraordinary project, for being such inspiring #GirlBosses and for including me in the book’s Foreword. ▫️▫️▫️
“O Canada! A Celebration of 150 Years” explores themes of diversity, culture and growth. The book includes contributions from major political figures such as ex-Gouverner General Michaëlle Jean and the Director of Ottawa's Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health, Allison Fisher. A portion of the book’s proceeds go towards the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, which enables underserved youth to make personal and community-oriented changes by means of the arts.

UPDATE: #CUPE2424 remains on strike. The negotiating team worked extremely hard at the bargaining table with sincere efforts to find acceptable solutions for both parties, but our employer still refuses to negotiate in any meaningful way. Full statement via CUPE 2424 Facebook and Twitter. #WeAreCarleton#BetterTogether#Solidarity#canlab#ottnews
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will address CUPE 2424 members and Carleton University students on Tuesday, March 20, 10:45 a.m, Bronson entrance. More than 850 workers have been on strike since March 5. They are fighting for fairness and for protections around their pensions that will allow them to retire in dignity. Pensions are not a gift from the employer—they are employees’ deferred wages, and their security is at risk. This is an issue of concern to all working Canadians. We are facing a no-pension future unless workers organize now and stop this race to the bottom. Defending workers has been a core principle of @ndpcanada , which has a proud history of fighting for ordinary Canadians and delivering results. As party leader, @jagmeetsingh is working to tackle economic and social injustices. Hear his remarks on the picket line. #WeAreCarleton#BetterTogether#carletonstrike#carletonu#cupe2424#carletonuniversity#NDP#loveandcourage#canlab#ottnews
