So, thanks to @melissa808
today i learned that Japanese tourists are OBSESSED with Hawaiian pancake restaurants to the point that they have franchised just about every mom and pop joint in the islands and opened outposts in Japan. It’s ridiculous and absurd and not even the owners can make sense of it and I’m completely obsessed. Here i am trying to become big in Japan by pouring lilikoi sauce over my pancakes. #パンケーキ #hawaiianpancake
Photographed in Pahole natural area reserve, Haha (Cyanea superba) is a plant endemic to the Waiʻanae mountains and is currently extinct in the wild. How ever thanks to the DLNR and other programs they are slowly being reintroduced into the wild.
Young living is covering all my beachy needs!! Woohooo spf 50!! Insect repellent and cooling spray all adding to my wish list because there is no way I'm going to cover myself in toxic/ hormone altering products. Nope. Pass.

The Tattoo - by Chris McKinney
This contemporary fiction novel is set in Hawai`i and tells of Ken Hideyoshi, a new inmate at Halawa Correctional Institute. Ken befriends his cell mate Cal who is a trusted tattoo artist.
Ken shares his life story about his tumultuous relationship with his father, his bad decisions, and ultimately the event that led to his imprisonment. As Ken speaks, the story unfolds. Cal quietly listens and tattoos a symbolic image on Ken’s back.
An eye-opening story with an emphasis on the underbelly of Hawai`i that exists far away from the stereotypical idyllic post card perfection associated with the islands.
The Tattoo is one of my favorite adult novels. Happy Reading!
